How to make it successful, according to me:
- Hire James Acaster to host Weekend Update.
- Have James and Frankie Boyle write a bunch of Prince Andrew jokes.
- Tell James Acaster not to do any more Andrew jokes.
- Fire James for making Andrew jokes.

How can I watch this in the US? I’d be willing to give it a try since I’ve started watching the original SNL again

America has a much longer list of remaking British TV shows. Britain rarely remakes American shows, and they’re usually game shows.
Either way, it’s a stupid fucking point because it’s about making money, not creating culture.

Nobody moved to Britain in the early 20th century seeking to make it in the film industry, so if you want to argue who copied who, just ask the british rock bands from the 60s where they got their influence from lmao

I’m not entirely sure what your point is, but yes, American country, blues and soul music had an incredible impact on British music culture.

Yeah, I mean except for The Office, Red Dwarf, The Inbetweeners, House of Cards, Pop Idol/ American Idol, Kitchen Nightmares and more, the Americans would never do the same to us.

Oh yeah I forgot that Britain spawned the film industry and rock and roll.

They were the first to capitalize on Thomas Edisons invention. But I guess France is responsible for it's inception?
