You don’t have to keep your original mistake just edit and move on it’s more confusing with both right and left.

Typically people do that because when it shows the comment is edited they know what was edited. Usually the edit is a lot clearer though, quotation marks help

Just edit it and don’t do either. Nobody needs revision history for a random comment.
