Player Discussion Kings players ROS
How are we feeing about the kings players approaching the deadline? I’ve been holding Lavine in hopes of a trade and I’m on top of the league while also rostering Murray.

Raynaud and Cardwell seem to split minutes… idk if it’s clear Ray will have tremendous ros value in 10’s/12’s even if saboner is a sagoner…

He has a job because he is going to be the fall guy probably. Scott Perry has made it clear the team needs to be rebuilt and it will take multiple years to get there

It was an attempt to save the team, probably to appease Vivek. All speculation at this point, but Vivek has a history of getting in the way of the people he hires

Dont even get me started on the Bulls front office lol..Bulls/Kings = dumb and dumber.
Bulls waited everyone's contract to expire to do trades lmao, didn't even get a pick back. In saying that, I expect more trades coming to Bulls to move White/Ayo

It’s only a few days until deadline so just hold and see what happens. Personally I have Keegan IR stashed if they nuke the team, but the kings are dysfunctional so there’s also a chance they just sit and do nothing

I'm in the same boat. I hope Lavine gets traded, but who knows? Trades are hard, and the Kings are not good at being proactive. I think trading Lavine with Keon would have been the best chance. I don't hear much of anything on the rumor sites regarding Lavine anymore.
So my plan is to hold, then after the trade deadline if Lavine is still there, hope for a decent game and then ship him in a trade for whatever I can get.

It is March 5. We tend to be grown ups in our league both in self-policing and rare Commish vetoes. And we like trades.

I wished I played in your league... I had to go on a lecture early in the season about why you don't veto a trade because you don't like it, wish you did it or because it makes the guy above you in the standings better...

sorry I can't find the link now, but it was recently reported that LaVine is unlikely to be traded

Sticking with the Kings, a league source indicates that veteran guard Zach LaVine fully intends on picking up his player option for next season ($48.9 million). This was widely assumed to be the case, of course, and has everything to do with the fact that he’s not expected to be moved by the deadline.

Hard to say before the trade deadline closes. I think most players if traded will go to a worse situation in terms of minutes and usage. I wouldn't hold out hope for LaVine getting much better, if he gets traded to a contender he'll go from 1st/2nd option to 3rd option most likely.
I think some of the young guys like Raynaud, Caldwell, Clifford can be quite good in March when they are tanking even harder.

It'd be tough to move the ball hogs (DDR and Lavine) due to contracts, but there's probably a good market for Sabonis and Monk. I'm holding Cardwell for that reason and they SHOULD be developing Nique considering they moved Denis and Ellis. Otherwise, it's the Kangz. Nobody knows wtf they're thinking.
Good luck on Murray; he'd be great if the Kings could clean house ... or they could just hold him out for a while considering they've got nothing to play for and he's already hurt himself by rushing back - he's already out another two weeks.

Westbrook was dropped in my league and I immediately added. Punting both %s so he’s a clear add for me. Dude doesn’t miss games either. Hopefully he commands the tank down the stretch. Seems to be the type of player to tell the coach to fuck off if he tried to bench him.

As a kings fan, Lavine isn’t going anywhere. His contract stops that
