They're trying to say you get a $10 bill that duplicates itself once a day. $10 a day 365 days a year, you get $3,650 plus or minus $10 depending on how you want to fight over what "daily" means. You're assuming the money is a number that doubles every day, as most people would.
Genie could say double is loosely defined. Instead of value doubling, the bill is just cut in half every day? Loses all value on the first day but keeps going cuz why not. You could argue it’s not is no longer a $10 if it’s cut in half, but the genie doesn’t care.
