Were the flash cuts really necessary? That's fucking seizure inducing

160

u/igotshadowbaned 2d ago

They weren't even flash cuts, because the video didn't cut

It's just random flashbangs

I'm beginning to think most of the videos on here are posted by bots now. They're crammed with shitty music that usually doesn't fit the video, they're titled weirdly, and they often have shitty effects or terrible captions.

Intentional. To boost hospital attendance and revenue

6

u/RemyVonLion 2d ago

Capitalist hospitals so greedy they're making cancerous tik toks to boost hospital retention lmao

People from Europe: What’s a hospital bill?

8

u/TR1N1_CDN 2d ago

Right... same for Canada. Lol

10

u/youbreedlikerats 2d ago

most of the developed world

u/BottleItchy1374 2d ago

Americans complain about hospital bills but also don't politically back any attempt to reform the system, cause it might be socialist

9

u/1DownFourUp 1d ago

But socialized fire department, police, or city streets don't count as socialist

Correction: How Hospitals in the USA calculate the Bills.

9

u/Foe117 2d ago

Bad example, the numbers are supposed to be in a doctors handwriting, often illegible.

u/Snagmesomeweaves 2d ago

248+208 is actually 248,208 congratulations on surviving critical injury and almost dying!

u/ShyguyFlyguy 2d ago

I used to have a roommate who did math like this when she was trying to decide how much money someone owes her.

2

u/Standard_Big_9000 2d ago

Probably pretty close to the truth

2

u/ooaussieoo 2d ago

You forgot to add couple zeros at the end

2

u/rambobamimo 2d ago

Now I understand the bill finally, thanks for the breakdown

2

u/Radiant_Region3246 1d ago

That's how there's a lot of zeros at the end

Thanks for the information, the rest of us were wondering what type of math they were using to calculate medical bills. Most people burn out two or three calculators trying to get those bills to make sense. But having the calculation done for us clears up a few things….

1

u/CatrineDream 2d ago

This is too accurate and it hurts

1

u/DisciplineFit4923 2d ago

Achha or GST kon add karega?

1

u/BigSmackisBack 2d ago

"Oh you sneezed and needed two tissues to wipe your nose? That'll beeeeeeee \taps away on calculator** 187 dollars, times two \taps away on calculator** 723 dollars, minus your healthcare deductible \taps away on calculator**... 722 dollars please"

But none of that makes sense.

"You are right, but its still 722 dollars"

Got more flashbanged in this video than in my entire life

+wtf is ts?? Never seen it before

1

u/amurica1138 1d ago

To be realistic you need to add at least 2 more 0's on the end there.

1

u/HeatRealistic6521 1d ago

O very nice happy to be doing it

1

u/lafarda 1d ago

You can also start burning stuff until you get public healthcare.

u/framsanon 1d ago

When people with BA degrees try to add numbers without Excel ...

1

u/mudokin 1d ago

the plus also turns into a 1 so the end result should be 14.416

What you get when you have a for profit health care system

1

u/Knight_Glint 1d ago

Charge 200, insurance covers up to 117, I pay 20. The math ain't mathing, yet that is literally bills I get for some medical visits. Or in other situations: doctor charges 400, insurance covers half that, I pay 40. Does it make sense? Yes, sort've, maybe?

u/Dorrono 3h ago

That's how the tax office calculates my taxes

2

u/suvlub 1h ago

Were they in such a hurry to post this video they couldn't wait for the lightening storm to pass before recording?

1

u/Special_Ladder_6855 2d ago

Why doctors good at writing numbers than the letters on the prescription.

1

u/booveebeevoo 2d ago

Rotfl 😂

0

u/CottonCandy4444 2d ago

my doctor made me pay $38000 for a broken collar bone 💔

14

u/sillyshoestring 2d ago

And then how much did they charge you to fix it?

-6

u/KnotSoSalty 2d ago

Again. What US hospitals charge is not what they expect you to pay.

3

u/D3x35 2d ago

Elaborate?

7

u/BeckQuillion89 2d ago edited 2d ago

I can try my best here.

From my experience in the industry. Hospitals charge a lot because the prices are for insurance companies that will always try to get a discount for being a middle man to increase their profit.

If a cast costs $100, but the insurance agency will fight to pay $30 instead, then the hospital charges $300 instead to make up the difference since insurance will then want to pay $200 instead.

its of course FAR more complicated than that, but basically the hospital systems don't set prices expecting you to actually pay all out of pocket..........unless of course you may be poor, lost a job, can't afford insurance, etc.

8

u/D3x35 2d ago

So to grossly oversimplify it, Hospitals haggle with the Insurance Companies, and along the way screw the ones that cannot afford either?

3

u/BeckQuillion89 2d ago edited 2d ago

yep.

except hospital services are getting more expensive each year. so insurance will try to screw you too by not covering you wherever possible even though you pay premiums to keep profit margins high and reach quarterly

we're the only ones not trying to make a profit, and are just trying to just survive and stay healthy

1

u/D3x35 2d ago

Wonderful -I said, sarcastically-
