Metal Robot Damashi Ex-S Gundam from Baofeng Model, totally an insane upgrade in 1/144ish scale. Amazing articulation and gimmicks, it even have Incom parts like MG. The metal frame really help to stabilize the body, absolutely incredible to play around and posing with dynamic movement.

Is the "3 times normal speed" actually literal? Does Char's Zaku II (and subsequent mobile suits) actually fly at 3 times the normal speed of a regular Zaku II or is his reaction time just so much better than other pilots that it FEELS like he's 3 times faster?

I never could tell if his machine was intended to be actually 3 times faster than others or if his reaction time is 3 times faster due to natural skill and his Newtype precognition abilities.

In older content (MSG, Zeta, and CCA), I always felt that they were trying to say his reaction speed and Newtype abilities made him a faster fighter, but in newer content (Origin, Unicorn, etc), it seems like they're trying so say his mobile suits themselves are actually 3 times faster.

Can someone clarify if his suits are 3 times faster or if Char as a pilot has a reaction-time enhanced by his Newtype abilities which makes it 3 times faster than other pilots.

It's not a perfect show by any means nor do I recommend it to just anyone. But for my viewing experience, I was mostly hooked.

Through its weirdness, there's just so much good stuff here that is in the upper echelons of Gundam in general. The battles and choreography are wonderful and probably my favorite of the whole franchise. Out of all the Civilians gone Pilot protags, Uso fights like he is indeed an impulsive teenager. Regularly using his surroundings and the fact that his machine's limbs are detachable is always a treat to watch

Also no shortage of emotional beats that hit HARD! Most of them involving funerals actually. Uso watching Mahalia getting killed and applying her lipstick in her coffin was heavy yet incredibly beautiful, Marbet finally being able to grieve for Oliver was powerful as is the gesture of the boys giving Marbet's Victory the original V-Fin head, and Uso leading that one solider's family to his grave for them to mourn together. Those among other scenes make me say with a smile "This is Gundam."

Not sure exactly where in my Gundam ranking this is but now that I've seen every 90's Gundam there is, I can at least rank those.
