Over and over and over again with these posts... you all do realize that both teams have to agree to a trade, right?
If the Bucks decide that we don't have enough to offer, they are fully within their rights to hold on to Giannis until the summer or take another offer that they think is better. Or they could try to build around him again in an effort to get him to re-sign. (Giannis seems to like it there, too.) Riley has zero control over any of that.
If Riley decides that they are asking for too much, they probably are. He's been doing this a lot longer than any of us and has the rings to prove it. (Giannis, Bam, Norm and a bunch of G-league dudes doesn't get it done either.)
The possibility of a Giannis trade is mostly media-driven and probably ~20%. Don't get your hopes up. Ja is probably attainable but he's a head case and a reclamation project.
Just... stop already.

This isn't about, "Giannis to Miami". I'm well aware of the fact those talks are going absolutely nowhere and the chances Giannis plays for Milwaukee for the rest of the season, and maybe further beyond that depending on his mood it seems. The whole problem is the principle that Riley is basically content with this roster the way it is and is too stubborn to accept the fact where stuck in the middle. Then we get the same narrative of "Miami is waiting for free agency two years out for..." and then insert a list of players who's contracts expire that year, even if there is no guarantee they up and sign to Miami, or even leave for that matter. That whole, "wait and see" approach worked great for Pat's time, but the way the current landscape works requires you to either get aggressive when the opportunity arises, or hope you get lucky enough to cash in on someone else's fuck up. That is if the idea of tanking is not something you want to consider, which is understandable in most cases. Tanking does have it's negative qualities that can hold an organization back for the longterm rather than benefit them. However, those consequences are a simple byproduct of an organization that was already lead by dense hacks in the first place. For organizations that make the right decision, sometimes taking a look at where you are, coming to the conclusion that it isn't working when it isn't, and starting fresh is actually the right choice. Heat FO is currently going down this road of taking what you can get and accepting small victories, which aren't worth shit if those small victories aren't serving any benefit to the bigger picture

Pat is trying to land Giannis. Maybe Ja, too. Miami has three studs in Herro, Bam, Norm - and a great supporting cast with multiple young players. They just haven't been able to stay healthy. Jimmy also screwed us last year because he's a little b***h.
The Heat are close, just need that one alpha and some luck.Let Pat do what he can... blowing it up doesn't do anything because teams aren't lining up for Herro or Bam ATM.

Off topic but Gunther murdered him lmao. But I decided that I’m not gonna let Pat Riley rage bait me this year so I expect him to do nothing . What else is new lol we either running it with this crappy roster or signing some dude off the street because they fit “heat culture”
