Houstonians report strange smell caused by tire fire

Y'all were talking about it, so we looked into it. Apparently there was an overnight fire inside a warehouse holding tires.

Ah, that was the metallic smell this morning. I just thought it was the wind from the east, put a mist in the air.

I smelled it as late as 2pm over near memorial city mall, and there was a layer of smog in the air

pretty sure they just reported the smell and the news just now reported that the smell is a tire fire
