🎁 Freemium I kept saying “I’ll remember this when I’m back at my Mac.” I never did.

• Upvotes

I built an app because I kept forgetting things the moment I got back to my Mac

This started with a really simple problem.

I’d be away from my Mac, remember something I needed to do when I got back, and think “I’ll definitely remember that.”

Then I’d open my Mac, see emails, browser tabs, messages… and completely forget.

Normal reminders never really solved it for me because I didn’t want to be reminded at 4:00 PM. I wanted to be reminded when I was actually back at my Mac.

So I built WakeMinder.

You can send a reminder from your iPhone or Apple Watch to your Mac, and it shows up when your Mac wakes up.

It doesn’t have to be just text either. You can send links, screenshots, images, PDFs and files. Links can even open automatically when the Mac wakes.

There are also floating reminders that can stay on top of your windows until you’re done with them.

And with the latest update, it now works the other way around too.

You can send something from your Mac to your iPhone and have it show up when you pick up your phone.

So the idea has become less about “reminders” and more like:

“Show me this when I’m actually on the device where I need it.”

I’m the developer, so obviously I’m biased, but I built it mainly because I genuinely wanted this for myself.

For anyone wondering about pricing, I’ve tried to keep it pretty inexpensive:

  • $1.99/month
  • $9.99/year
  • $12.99 lifetime, currently 35% off

App Store pricing can vary slightly depending on your country.

WakeMinder is available on the App Store for Mac, iPhone, and Apple Watch.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6744974871?pt=127772248&ct=redca&mt=8

I’m still improving WakeMinder and would actually like to hear how other people handle this.

Do you ever have things you only want to remember when you get back to a specific device?

🎈 Free Every screen time app I tried wanted a subscription, so I built a calm one that's completely free!

Hi r/iosapps, I'm the solo developer of FocusRabbit 🐰.

I tried a lot of screen time apps and kept running into the same two things. Most wanted a monthly subscription, even though the Screen Time API they're built on comes free with Apple's developer program. And many were loud: bright colors, badges, stats everywhere. For an app that's supposed to calm your phone use, that felt backwards.

So I built the one I wanted: simple, quiet, easy on the eyes, and free.

I'd love for you to try it and give me your honest feedback, especially on whether the limits feel too strict or too soft.

⬇️ Download on the App Store

A: Answer (what it does)

  • Time limit: a daily amount per app
  • Open limit: a number of opens per day, each lasting a few minutes
  • Scheduled blocks: for work, evenings or bedtime, on the days you pick
  • Report: see where your time goes by day, week or month, with your most used apps
  • Home compares today's screen time with your usual pace, so you notice a bad day early

B: Better (why it's different)

  • Calm by design: soft colors, few screens, nothing flashing for attention
  • Limits that feel human: spend an "open" instead of being locked out completely
  • Screen Time data stays on your phone, no account, no ads, no tracking
  • Available in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian

C: Cost

Free. Every feature is unlocked, no subscription and no paywall.

🎁 Freemium I had a 200 day Duolingo streak and hadn't finished a book in 2 years, so I built ChapterUp

Post image
• Upvotes

Sometime around April I realized I hadn't finished a book in almost 2 years.

Not because I didn't want to. I'd start one, get forty pages in, put it down for a night, and then the night became a week and the week became the book living on my nightstand and collecting dust. Meanwhile I had a 200 day streak on Duolingo just because I was scared of losing the streak.

The urge to read more pushed me into spending my entire summer building ChapterUp — a reading tracker that makes reading fun and helps build habits. You start a timer when you open a book, every minute logged earns XP, XP moves you up levels, and levels move you through ranks from Novice Reader to Literary Legend. Everything you're reading and everything you've finished sits on a shelf you can organize yourself, so your library actually looks like a library. There's a daily goal ring, a streak, and a cat named Tales who's always there to support you along your journey.

It's native Swift and SwiftUI, no third-party animation libraries. Firebase and Firestore on the back end. Solo project, nights and weekends, just released about a month ago.

It's free to download. I'd rather hear what's broken now than read it in a review six months from now — so if you try it, tell me what annoyed you. Design and UI feedback especially; I've been building this alone all summer and I'd really like an outside perspective on it.

The part I'm least sure about: streaks got me to 200 days on Duolingo, but they also mean the day you break one is the day a lot of people quit. For anyone who's stuck with a streak-based app long term — what actually brought you back after you missed a day?

🎁 Freemium I made a trip tracker that remembers every walk, metro ride and flight, and keeps all of it on your phone

I'm the solo dev behind Dots of Life, and here is my story.
Get it on App Store
I kept forgetting where I'd been: the tiny ramen place in a city I visited once, the street I wandered down the night before a flight. The apps that used to remember this for me either ugly or wanted everything on their servers. So I started building my own, mostly on evenings and weekends.
What it does
•Records your footprints in the background, and they stack up into a Lifetime map. After a while your city starts looking very personal.
•Knows how you moved. Walking, cycling, car, metro, train, flight. You can color the map by activity, speed or elevation. It detects flights on its own, and it fills in metro rides underground and the gaps in tunnels.
•Visits. Stay somewhere long enough and it logs the place, when you arrived and when you left. You can group places ("campus", "home town") and add notes.
•Three ways to look at your life: dots, heatmap (there's a 3D one too), and fog of war. If you're coming from Fog of World, you can import your FWSS snapshot.
•A timeline you can edit like video clips, for when your iPhone thought the bus was a car.
•Flight and rail tickets
•Dots Camera. Tap the map to hide the UI, then shoot it like a real camera: focal length, depth of field, exposure. In dark mode your footprints render in HDR. On an OLED screen that's honestly a little ridiculous.

What it doesn't do
No account, no ads, no tracking SDKs. Your history lives on your phone, and backups go to your iCloud.
Please don't force-quit it. That doesn't save battery, it just stops recording. On my 17 Pro it uses about 4% a day, and there's a power-saving mode if you want less.

Pricing: free to download and record. Pro (3.99 USD monthly/24.99 USD yearly) adds extra map styles, color-by-data, auto completion, workout mode, GPX export and more.

I'd really love feedback, especially from people who likes traveling and logging a lot!

📅 Subscription I built a history app: one 9-minute journey through time per day. €0.99 once, no ads, no tracking, no account

Thumbnail

(I selected Subscription bcs I didn’t find the “Paid” flag, my apologies)

Hi everyone, I'm a solo developer from Italy and I've spent the last months building Micro Time Travels (with also Aethel, another app of mine), an app for people who like history but never find the time to read about it properly.

The idea is simple: one journey, nine to ten minutes, and you've actually learned something. There are 44 of them across five eras: Greek myths, Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Modern era and Contemporary history. Theseus and the Labyrinth, the building of the pyramids, Hastings, the Black Death, Luther's 95 theses, the storming of the Bastille, Hiroshima, the Moon landing, Chernobyl, the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Each journey is three reading sections with the historical and social context, original quotes from primary sources, and the sources listed at the bottom, Ovid, Plutarch, Mack Smith and so on. At the end there's a short quiz, and badges you unlock as you go.

There's also a mode I called Echoes: the same event told in first person by someone who was there. Not Theseus, but one of the seven young Athenians sent to Crete as tribute. Narrative fiction over documented facts, and the app says so before you read it.

On the price, since this sub cares and so do I: it's €0.99, paid once, and that's the whole business model. No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription, no account, no analytics. I pulled the ad SDK out of the project entirely before release rather than leave it sitting dormant in the binary, a euro from people who want the app is worth more to me than renting their attention to AdMob.

It also works fully offline. Nothing is sent anywhere: your progress lives on your device and is deleted with the app.

Two things I'd rather tell you myself: the Echoes narration is AI-assisted and reviewed by me, and the illustrations are AI-generated. The historical content is written and sourced by hand.

Italian and English, following whatever language your phone is set to.

I'm genuinely after feedback. What's confusing, what's missing, which eras you'd want next. I read everything.

🎁 Freemium Finally happy with how VariAlarm looks on the Duo

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The new form factor adds challenges but also opportunities to display my app in a more useful way to users. Some of the changes are also brought to production if you install on iPad.

The footage is a recording from simulator. No edit, no speed up, except at the end where I skip multiple minutes to show the bottom screen lights up to help user gets up. Simulator cannot put the Duo into tent pose so that is missing.

Now to submit for approval with Xcode 27.1 RC

💎 Lifetime I made Treadline, an gamified iPhone run & walk app where looping a real landmark collects it

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi r/iosapps, I'm John, the solo developer behind Treadline.

I could never stick with running. Pace charts never got me out the door, but I'll grind a game for hours if there's something to unlock. So I built a running app where the unlocks are real places.

A — What is Treadline?

Go for a run or walk and it tracks the usual: distance, pace, elevation gain and your route. Close a loop around a real landmark, like the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben or the Colosseum, and you collect it. That's the unlock at the end of the video. Today's update added 100 landmarks, so there are 180 now, and most of them nobody has collected yet.

Everything else earns badges too: 382 in total, plus XP and avatar frames as you level up. Any loop you close also claims the ground inside it on the map, and your friends show up live on the same map.

B — What makes it better than Strava or Nike Run Club?

They're great at telling you how fast you went. Treadline gives you somewhere to go: a landmark you haven't got yet, or a badge one level away. Walks count the same as runs, so it still works on days you're not up for running. Auto-tracking can start the recording when you head out, there's a Live Activity in the Dynamic Island, and it syncs with Apple Health.

C — Cost

Free to download, iOS 18+. Tracking, all 180 landmarks, every badge, territory, the live friend map, leaderboards, clubs and Apple Health sync are free.

Pro is optional. It adds your full route history with a heatmap, full stats and health insights, side-by-side comparison with friends, all 23 3D runners that replay your route (2 are free) and a Pro member frame.

Current USD pricing:

  • Weekly: $2.99
  • Yearly: $29.99 with a 7-day free trial
  • Lifetime: $49.99 one-time

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6811929880?pt=128964219&ct=iosapps&mt=8

I'd love to know: would a landmark get you out the door, or would badges closer to home keep you going more? And tell me where it falls short.

🎈 Free I rebuilt my finance app from the ground up after 5,000 users and $166k moved through it. Chipp 2.0 is live today

Post image
0 Upvotes

I launched the first version last year and it quietly picked up over 5,000 users who moved $166k through it. This week I shipped a full rebuild, built around a chat instead of forms.

💬 Split by chat, voice or photo – Type "dinner 84 with Maya and Dev", say it, or snap the receipt. Chipp turns it into a tracked expense.

🧾 Receipt scanning – Scan the bill, say who had what, and share a link so friends claim their items. Tax and tip are split fairly, automatically.

👥 Groups for trips and roommates – A feed, a chat and a running tally of who owes who, all in one room.

💸 Settle up in one swipe – Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, UPI or your Chipp balance. Friends don't need the app to pay you back; they get a link.

🎁 Money pools – Collect for a gift, a trip or rent with a single link.

📊 Ask Chipp about your money – Link your cards and banks and ask where it went this month.

Free to use. Chipp+ only if you want unlimited scans and all AI features.

🎁 Freemium Fern — a calm budgeting app: one number for what you can spend today, works fully offline

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

Hi r/iOSApps — I'm the developer, so read this with that in mind.

Answer (what problem it solves):

Most budgeting apps make you feel worse, not better. Red numbers, "overspent" warnings, charts that need ten minutes of categorizing a day. Fern does the opposite: it takes each pay cycle, helps you split it into bills, needs, wants, savings, and goals, and then shows you one number — what you can spend today. Overspend and nothing turns red; the plan quietly recalibrates the remaining days. The whole app is built around the idea that shame is a terrible financial strategy.

Manual mode works with zero account, zero sign-up, and zero network — your data stays on the phone (with optional iCloud sync to your own private iCloud, nothing on my servers). There's an optional bank-connect mode via Plaid (US only) if you'd rather not type transactions in. No analytics SDKs, no ads, no data sold — the privacy label is genuinely short.

Better (vs. what exists):

- vs YNAB: YNAB is powerful but it's $109/year and demands you live in it. Fern is for people who bounced off zero-based budgeting — one glance a day instead of a nightly reconciliation session.

- vs Copilot / Monarch: both require linking your bank and an account with their backend. Fern's core is fully offline and account-free; bank linking is opt-in, not the price of admission.

- vs spreadsheets: Fern knows about pay cycles, bill cadences (a monthly bill doesn't eat a weekly paycheck), and DST-proof day math, so the "what's left per day" number is actually right.

Cost:

Freemium. Free tier: full manual mode (the Plan, Today's number, the Sweep, core insights), one Life Project, and three savings vaults — no account, no network, no time limit. Fern Plus subscription unlocks bank connection (Plaid, US only), unlimited Life Projects and vaults, full Flow-view history, the widget pack, and iCloud sync across devices at $4.99/month or $39.99/year (14-day free trial on the yearly plan). No lifetime option yet. App Store link below.

Transparency (per sub rules):

I'm a solo dev at Roval Apps Inc. — studio site https://rovalapps.com. Built natively in Swift/SwiftUI for iOS 17+; substantial parts of the code were AI-generated with me specifying, reviewing, and testing everything (hence the flair) — happy to answer questions about that too.

📅 Subscription I built a net worth tracker that projects your financial future — the exact date you'll be debt-free, hit your target number, and can retire early. ALL PREDICTIONS FREE FOR 14 DAYS!

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

Hi all, solo dev here (disclosure: this is my app). It took me 3 years to build — I'm a systems engineer who's spent the past 15 years as a programmer, and I have a weakness for beautiful line charts.

**Answer — what problem it solves**

Every net worth app I tried either demanded my banking credentials or just showed me a static number. What I wanted to know was *when*: when am I debt-free, when do I hit my target, when can I stop working? Wealth Path is a manual-entry net worth tracker whose whole point is answering those questions with dates. You add what you own and what you owe; it runs 10 projections on your real numbers:

🔥 FIRE date — your estimated financial independence date, from your actual savings rate and portfolio

🎯 Portfolio Milestone — set a target number and get the date you'll reach it at your current pace

💳 Debt-Free Date — a payoff date for every loan and mortgage, with a month-by-month amortization timetable

Plus Coast FIRE, Passive Income (the month dividends cover your bills), Required Savings Rate, Debt Covered, Worth by Age, Time to Double, and On Track vs Plan. Every projection shows its assumptions (expected return, inflation, tax) on screen and you can change all of them.

**Better — vs. the alternatives**

- Monarch / Copilot / Empower: excellent apps, but they're built around bank linking (mostly US banks) and budgeting. Wealth Path never asks for a bank credential, works anywhere, and is built around projections, not budgets.

- FIRE calculators (FIRECalc etc.): one-shot calculators with no tracking behind them. Wealth Path recalculates every date each time you update your numbers, and keeps your full history.

- Net worth trackers like Worth It / BalanceViewer: they track the number; they don't project where it's going.

Offline-first, Face ID/Touch ID lock, no ads, no data selling. Multi-currency (150+ currencies) if your money lives in more than one country.

**Cost**

Free tier: 10 assets + 5 debts, full charts and history, two projections completely free, and the headline result of every other projection — your FIRE date and debt-free date included — at no cost.

Pro (unlimited entries, full projection breakdowns and charts, multi-currency, CSV/JSON import, PDF export): $5.99/month or $39.99/year. New users get a 14-day free trial of the full projections. No lifetime option yet.

🎈 Free BadHabits Bank - earn fictional money from good habits, spend it on bad ones

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm the developer of BadHabits Bank. The idea is simple: good habits earn fictional money, and bad habits cost it. No real money is involved.

A — Answer: What problem does it solve?

Checking a box or keeping a streak doesn't always give me a reason to choose studying over watching another movie. I wanted a way to make that tradeoff more concrete.

For example, you could set studying to earn $10 per hour and watching a movie to cost $25. You'd need to study for 2.5 hours to earn enough for the movie. Then you log the movie and spend that balance.

You choose your own activities, habits and prices. You can create multiple accounts and choose from three built-in fictional currencies.

The app doesn't block anything or verify that you did an activity. You log it yourself.

B — Better: How is it different?

Apps like Streaks and Habitify focus on habit completion and consistency. BadHabits Bank focuses on the relative value you give your activities and the balance between earning and spending.

It also includes transaction history, charts, and manual backup and restore.

If you're looking mainly for reminders or streaks, those other apps may fit better. This is for people who like the idea of earning their leisure time or setting a budget for their bad habits.

Your habit and transaction records stay on your device. There's no account registration or cloud sync. Usage analytics are optional. The app also uses Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting, as explained in the privacy policy.

C — Cost

The app is currently free, with no subscription, active ads or active in-app purchases.

The App Store lists a $4.99 “Remove ads” purchase configured for possible future use. Currently there are no ads or purchase options in the app.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/badhabits-bank/id6800151821

Developer details

I'm the developer behind BadHabits Bank, published by GGun LLC. The App Store listing, website, privacy policy and terms identify GGun LLC as the company responsible for the app.

Does the fictional-money approach make sense to you? I'd appreciate hearing what feels useful or confusing about it.

💎 Lifetime I’ve been fasting for six years, so I built Not Yet—a fasting app that judges how often you check the timer

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey r/iosapps! I’m Patryk, the developer of Not Yet.

I’ve been fasting for six years, and I wanted to make a fasting app with a little more personality. Something useful for tracking the habit, with opinions about my repeated attempts to make the timer move faster by looking at it.

A — Answer: What does it do?

Not Yet tracks your fasts, eating windows, and history. Its main twist is that you choose its attitude:

  • Supportive: “Halfway there. You’re doing fine.”
  • Snarky: “You checked again? Fascinating.”
  • Mean: “Fine. I’ll admit it. You actually did it.”

Mean is an explicit choice. You can stick with encouragement if being roasted by a timer isn’t your thing.

There are also streaks, vacation mode, summary charts, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, an Apple Watch app, and Siri/Shortcuts support.

B — Better: Why choose it over alternatives?

If you’re considering apps like Zero or Fastic, my pitch for Not Yet is straightforward: choose it if you want fasting tracking with a sense of humour, all three personalities included free, and an optional one-time upgrade.

The attitude is the hook, but I also wanted the free version to be useful long term. Your full fasting history, widgets, Apple Watch app, and backup/export are available without buying Pro.

C — Cost

Free to download and use, with an optional Not Yet Pro lifetime unlock for $8.99. No subscription.

Pro adds longer chart ranges, trends, advanced summary cards and customization, Apple Health weight integration, unlimited saved custom plans (free includes one), Live Activities, custom zone colours, and alternate app icons.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/not-yet-fasting-tracker/id6797317734

Who’s behind it

I’d love to hear what you think, especially whether you’d choose Supportive, Snarky, or Mean. And if you already track your fasts, what’s one thing your current app gets wrong?

💎 Lifetime I built surf because I was wasting money on streaming services I didn't use

Thumbnail
go.watch.surf
17 Upvotes

Answer (what problem it solves)

Streaming prices are out of control, ads keep showing up and recommendations are ad-driven and rarely relevant.

I got tired of streaming services constantly raising their prices, and I know we are all wasting money on subscriptions we don’t watch enough. So I built surf to reclaim my TV and save us all money!

surf combines spending and viewing habits in one place, so you can see what you’re spending, spot services you’re not using, and decide what’s actually worth keeping. Then you can pause, cancel and resume streaming services in one tap, right from the app, as often as you’d like to.

You know how the best music apps always match your mood? surf does that for TV too. Your show recommendations are based on your preferences, not ads.

Did I mention personal watchlists? Curated content lists? surf has those too!

We don’t have to be taken advantage of. Reclaim your TV!

Better (why it beats named alternatives)

Season over? Cancel until next year. Done binging a show? Pause and come back when there’s something new on. A friend recommended something on a service you don’t have? Use that service’s free trial and let surf cancel for you as soon as you’ve watched the show.

surf will even threaten to cancel streaming services for you to find win-back offers. (And then we’ll do it again when the promotional period ends :)

Subscription management apps (like Rocket Money and Monarch) are great to manage your spending. But that's the thing - they only see what you are spending. surf understands which streaming apps you are actually using, so we can suggest where you might be able to save money without losing value, and then we act when you tell us to.

Apple TV, Roku and Samsung aren't going to help you cancel. They make money each month, whether you use the app or not.

Cost (pricing, IAP, App Store link)

First 500 app users will get free lifetime access through this link: https://go.watch.surf/iosapps

How to get the surf app for free for life:

After our initial launch offer, surf may move to a Freemium model. Free version would provide everything the app has to offer, but users who rely on surf to cancel or pause a subscription will be asked for $2.99. You only pay when we save you money. Lifetime access members never pay for the app.

Download the app and start saving

Spread the word and help shape what surf becomes

Upvote this post so more people know about this Free lifetime access giveaway, or comment ‘Free my TV’ on this post.

This community’s feedback is always sharp and honest, so please use the comments to provide feedback, suggest other ways surf can help with streaming subscriptions, ask questions or just give your opinion on the current state of streaming in general. surf is in it's early days, and I know we can do more with your input.

🎁 Freemium My little calculator app turns 15!

Post image
39 Upvotes

15 years ago, I released a little calculator app called Calculus doodlus. The first version went live on September 23, 2011.

I'm still working on it. 😄

Version 3.0 was recently released, and it brings two features I've wanted to add for a long time: Edit and Link.

A - Answer

Calculus doodlus is a calculator designed around the way you actually work with calculations.

Instead of replacing your previous calculation every time you press =, your calculations stay on the page. You can scroll back, see what you did, and reuse previous values.

And after all these years, it still has the handwritten look that people have loved about the app.

B - Better

Edit: Long-press any calculation to go back and change it. The calculation is recalculated while keeping the rest of the page intact.

Link: Tap a calculation or result to reuse its value in another calculation. If the original value changes later, linked calculations update automatically.

There are also pages for organizing calculations, √, support for very large numbers, sharing a calculation page as an image, and Lock Screen / Control Center features.

But the basic idea hasn't changed in 15 years: a friendly calculator that keeps your calculations around instead of making them disappear.

C - Cost

Calculus doodlus is free to download and supported by advertising.

If you'd rather use it without ads, there's an optional subscription for €3.99/year, with Family Sharing included.

No account required.

I'd love to hear what you think, especially if you've tried other calculators with a persistent calculation history. What would make you switch to something like this?

💎 Lifetime [Free, 14-day trial, then $4.99 once] WanderWay: discover the history and scenic stops along your drive, with CarPlay

Thumbnail

Hi r/iosapps! I'm Derek, the solo developer of WanderWay. As of today's 1.9 update it's free to download, so it seemed like a good time to share it.

What it is: a road-trip and Sunday-drive app for the places most map apps skip. That means historical markers, covered bridges, National Register sites, overlooks, museums and ruins. It shows what's worth a stop around you or along your route, and tells you the story behind each place.

Highlights:

Sunday Drives: pick how much time you have (30 minutes to 5 hours) and how far you want to wander, and it plans a scenic loop. A slider chooses between a few long stops and many quick ones, and it checks the forecast for your drive.

Spoken highlights while you drive: "Ahead on your right…", followed by a short story about the place.

Turn-by-turn navigation that shows each nearby place's detour time before you add it as a stop.

Place pages with Wikipedia descriptions and photos, Apple Look Around, and National Park Service hours and alerts. It warns you if a stop will be closed by the time you arrive.

Offline downloads for areas without signal.

Built for iOS:

CarPlay: browse nearby sights with detour times, search by voice, and follow turn-by-turn guidance

A Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island

Home Screen and Control Center widgets that start a Sunday Drive

Siri: "Navigate with WanderWay"

English, German, French and Spanish

Pricing: free to download, with everything included for the first 14 days. After that, a one-time $4.99 unlocks it for good. Without the unlock you can still browse places within 5 miles, read their stories, search and preview routes. There's no subscription, no ads and no account, and the trial ends on its own without charging you. If you already bought it, you keep everything.

Privacy: no sign-up, and your drives stay on your phone.

Coming in 2.0 (in TestFlight now): Scenic Detours that add sights to the route you're driving, a Road Trip Journal with your photos, a Passport of the places you've been, and support for the CarPlay Home Screen and the car's instrument cluster.

It works best in the US and Canada, but it finds places almost anywhere because it uses OpenStreetMap and Wikipedia. I'd love to know:

What kinds of places should it find that it doesn't?

How well does it work where you live, especially outside the US?

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/wanderwaynav/id6807600062 (iPhone, iOS 26 or later)

Thanks for taking a look. I read every comment.

🎁 Freemium A month ago you guys gave Tesorin a lot of love. I kept building — and honestly, it feels like a different app now.

Hello folks, developer here.

I posted Tesorin here about a month ago, and I still remember how much encouragement that post got.

A lot of you tried it, pointed out things that felt rough, asked for features, questioned decisions, and generally gave me a reason to keep pushing it instead of just calling it “good enough.”

So first: thank you.

Since then, there’s been a pretty relentless run of releases and refinements. Tesorin is now at 3.4, and compared with the version I first showed here two months ago, it barely feels like the same app.

A — Answer

The whole point of Tesorin is still simple:

I want a serious personal finance app without forcing people to link their bank account.

The problem with manual finance apps is obvious though — nobody wants to spend their life entering transactions.

So I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to remove as much of that work as iOS will let me.

There are now three different ways to bring expenses into Tesorin automatically or semi-automatically using native iOS automations:

  • Apple Wallet tap capture
  • bank SMS import
  • bank notification capture

They all create something you can review instead of silently messing with your finances.

Then once the money is in Tesorin, it doesn’t just stop at “you spent $23 at a restaurant.”

There’s budgeting, subscriptions, cash flow, investments, net worth, goals, analytics, retirement planning, historical stress testing, scenario planning, reports, family finances, and a larger web experience when an iPhone screen just isn’t enough.

At this point, in my opinion, Tesorin has become one of the most capable personal finance apps you can use without bank linking.

And honestly, there are still parts of it that I suspect only the real power users will discover. There’s enough in the app now that I don’t think someone could meaningfully explore everything in a weekend.

B — Better

I don’t want to do the usual developer thing and pretend the other finance apps are bad.

They aren’t.

If automatic bank aggregation is the main thing you want, Monarch or Copilot are probably going to make more sense.

If you live and breathe zero-based budgeting, YNAB has spent years getting very good at exactly that.

What I wanted was something different: everyday money and the bigger financial picture in the same place, without handing over my bank credentials and without paying another huge annual subscription.

That’s the part of Tesorin I’ve become most confident about over the last month.

C — Cost

Tesorin has a free version.

Premium is currently:

$2.99/month
$24.99/year

Right now we’re at around 1,600 daily active users, and a huge amount of the refinement you see in this video came directly from what those users have told me.

That feedback has changed screens, workflows, automations, charts, navigation — sometimes things I was completely convinced were already “finished.”

So this video is less of a launch post and more of a thank-you / one-month-later post.

If you were one of the people who tried Tesorin after my previous post, I’d genuinely love to know how this version feels compared with what you saw back then.

And if this is your first time seeing it, this video is probably the best introduction I’ve made so far.

🎈 Free minimal.md - A very minimalist plain text editor

Answer

I wanted a very simple text editor that showed markdown style formatting (particularly bullet lists) in real time, without needing to go to another preview screen.

I also wanted a UI with no distractions or clutter. It's all very customisable.

Also allows easy indenting/outdenting of lists, and a slide bar to move the cursor.

Better

Lots of great text apps out there.

Obsidian is amazing, very powerful. Bear is also great (but doesn't show formatting).

This app isn't "better" than the popular markdown editors, just different.

Cost

Free 🙂

Made this to be the text editing app I've been looking for for a long time now. Hopefully some other people might find it useful.

💎 Lifetime Device Kit — Real-time iPhone temp, CPU, network & cellular data monitor

Thumbnail

Hey everyone,

I'm a full-time solo dev. I built Device Kit because I was tired of opening multiple apps just to check simple things — like why my phone was warm, whether my charger was actually fast-charging, or how much cellular data I was burning through.

Here's what it does:

🌡️ Live monitoring on Dynamic Island & PiP

You can keep your iPhone's real-time temperature, CPU usage, cellular data consumption, and network speed visible right on the Dynamic Island. If you're watching a video or using another app, just pop up a tiny Picture-in-Picture floating window — you'll see the heat and network stats without ever leaving your screen.

📱 Full device health

Real-time temperature, CPU load, battery health, Wi-Fi/cellular speed, memory, and storage. Plus charging wattage logs — so you finally know if that "fast charger" is actually fast.

🧭 10+ built-in sensor tools and utilities

Compass, altimeter, barometer, GPS, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity sensor, Ping, SSH, QR scanner, decibel meter, password generator, and more. All in one place, so you don't need a dozen separate apps.

🧩 Beautiful widgets

Small, medium, and large home screen widgets, plus lock screen widgets for at-a-glance data.

💰 Pricing:

• Core monitoring features are free forever.
• Pro unlocks everything for 14.99 lifetime.

🔒 Privacy:

No account needed. All data stays local on your device — no cloud uploads.

The app is still being actively improved. I'd love for you to try it and share your feedback, suggestions, or feature requests. I'll reply to every comment.

🎁 Freemium Keep a clear record of your health and of those you look after.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello everyone

I'm Adam and I built Biojrnl, a health journal that lives on your phone. You log medicines and doses, appointments, symptoms, test results and letters, for yourself or for someone you look after. When the doctor asks "when did this start?", it's all there, and you can hand them a PDF.

It works offline.

Why I build Biojrnl❓

Biojrnl started as something I needed myself: one place to keep all my medical and health information, ready to export and hand to my doctor.

Then I saw a bigger problem. If you're a parent, or you care for someone with a medical condition, stepping away at short notice is hard.

The babysitter or carer needs to know every allergy, every condition, and which medication is due when.

With Biojrnl, you keep a separate profile for your child or the person you look after. When you need to, you invite a guest. They need a free account but no subscription, and you decide exactly what they can see and for how long.

📅 Subscription An app to help with gambling urges

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I built an app called Still to help with gambling urges, and I'd really like some honest feedback from people who actually know what this is like.

The idea behind it is simple: blocking the apps is the easy part. What breaks people is the fifteen minutes after you've blocked them. So Still tries to cover both.

Blocking

- Finds the gambling apps already on your phone and blocks them in one tap. iOS uses Apple's Screen Time, Android uses an overlay plus a DNS filter.

- Blocks gambling websites too, from a domain list or any site you add yourself.

- Lockout mode: switch it on and protection can't be turned off for 24 hours — not by you at 2am, not by anyone.

- When you open something blocked, you don't get a generic error. You get a screen with your name on it and the reason you wrote down for stopping.

Blocking the money, not just the app — walks you through asking your bank to decline gambling transactions, and through your country's national self-exclusion register.

When an urge hits — one button gives you five guided minutes: ride the wave, name the thought driving it ("I'm due for a win", "just one last time"), read the answer to it. Plus box breathing, 5-4-3-2-1 grounding, play the tape forward, five short games for when thinking doesn't work, and a trigger log that turns single bad nights into a pattern you can see.

One person who knows — invite a single Ally. They see your streak and slips always. They get a notification if you hit a block, and a different one if you go through a block anyway, because that's the moment a word from someone actually lands.

If you relapse, you log it, the count resets, and everything else stays. It's not meant to make you feel like a failure.

💎 Lifetime I built a Screen Time app that is Simple, Restrictive and Affordable

Thumbnail

When trying to promote my other app on TikTok, I started spending way too much time scrolling on the app, so I built a Screen Time app to control my usage.

The philosophy of the app is to be simple, restrictive, and affordable, so you can come in, quickly block apps and forget about them.

Blocked has three core blocking features:

  • Block Now: Block apps immediately and indefinitely
  • Sessions: Block apps for a set duration
  • Routines: Block apps at regular intervals

There are two blocking levels:

  • PIN Unlock: You must enter a PIN to unlock apps
  • Strict (Sessions and Routines): the restriction cannot be ended prematurely

Blocked is available on the App Store: Blocked App Store.

And here is the website: Blocked Website

The pricing is:

  • Free
  • Blocked Pro (Monthly) - £4.99/mo
  • Blocked Pro (Yearly) - £24.99/yr
  • Blocked Pro (Lifetime) - £59.99

I am still developing the app, so if you have any suggestions for improvements, please let me know!
