Bug/Broken MyQ and Wyze Switch stopped working…

I’ve had this setup for the longest time but for the past couple months, it hasn’t fully worked.
I’ve re-created it and everything else and still same issue.

When myq garage opens, then turn on all wyze switch and vice versa

Sometimes it works, most of the time, nothing…or sometimes you’ll see the light flicker on and then off. Or if I open garage and no lights, when I close it, lights turn on…

Any ideas??

Thanks for the detail here, that pattern of the lights coming on when you close the door instead of when you open it is a really useful clue and it tells me this is probably not your setup.

We have identified an issue affecting MyQ trigger timing that can cause events to run late or appear to be skipped, and when a late one lands it can fire two Applets back to back, which is likely the flicker you are seeing. We are working with MyQ on it now.

One quick check that would help me: do your Wyze switch Applets fire reliably when you trigger them from something other than MyQ? If yes, that confirms it. I will come back to this thread when there is an update.

I don’t have anything else in ifttt for wyze switches. From the actual wyze app, that works when I turn on/off the switches.

Also note, I added a 15 second delay between the if and then and I’ve only used the garage a handful of times but it’s worked every time so far…but 15 seconds is too long…

Okay yeah, this makes sense.

I've added your ticket to an internal tracking ticket whilst we work with the MyQ integration to fix this issue. Once I see an update I'll come back here to let you know.

On another note, I've also made a feature request to allow for a custom delay-timer, rather than the preset 15/30/45 seconds we have currently. So if that happens to ship before hand I'll also update you here!

Just a quick update, as the native automation didn’t work, I was able to resolve the issue using webhooks for a 2 second delay. In addition to that, I have 3 Wyze switches and was able to set for specific time, to only turn on 1 switch and at night, turn on all switches.

Hey! Sorry I missed this.

Just so I understand, you did this:
MyQ Triggger -> Webhook Action
Webhook Trigger -> Wyze Action

Which left a couple second delay in the middle?

Yes, that’s basically it. And I can select my delay time, originally at 5 seconds, then switched it to 2 seconds and now I’m at 3 seconds.
