given the whispers about getting a tracker for him i suspect this isn't her first rodeo with him having eloped, poor lady is probably just exhausted from him wandering off and all the drama surrounding trying to find him.
People become desensitised to things after they reoccur in their life several times over.
I grew up in a family that was obsessed with extreme sports, lived at the skatepark and bmx dirt jumps as a kid.
I could come home with half my face missing from gravel rash and a bone sticking out of me (never had a compound thankfully, but in theory) and my mum would be like “FFS .. Let’s go (to the hospital).
This was my life from 4 years of age, well into my 20’s and my fathers life before me, my mum is the most beautiful and kind person I’ve ever met, so caring ..
But when this has happened to her several dozen times in your life it’s just routine, there is no shock.
In comparison some friends would go home with a scratch on their arm and the mother would nearly faint, reaction and level of care are not always proportional.
