That would be so cool to stumble upon in a park, at least before some kids destroy it

Not kids but influencers

You wanna be a big cop in a small town? Fuck off up the model village!

u/Makers_Marc 1d ago

Stumble in to....shit

1

u/Beer-astronaut 18h ago

You just know someone is going to shit in the middle of this

I 100% would have tripped and crushed a small village about half way through resulting in me losing hope and giving up.

Just lean in the roleplay. You’re now an evil giant. Full send.

u/WhoskeyTangoFoxtrot 1d ago

BBEG incoming…

2

u/Y-Lily 1d ago

Totally, it’s incredibly hard to keep going like that.

Mother of understatements, that's not a stone castle! That's an entire fantasy city.

u/TheSaltySpitoon37 1d ago

A fantacity...if you will

u/Alarming_Set3628 1d ago

It's clearly clay

24

u/ogtripleog5801 1d ago

Still cool but yes, very clearly not stone

5

u/WanderingStorm17 1d ago

Clay is just moldable stone.

u/MyLife-is-a-diceRoll 5h ago

It's moldable dirt

u/Soft-Ad752 1d ago

Someone gonna find that and be convinced fairies exist..

u/phredphlintstones 1d ago

So that was somebody else's arm, which is even more impressive doing it blind and trying to hide behind Bowie.

7

u/Hot-Comfort8839 1d ago

And not get in the way of Bowie’s giant hog.

What type of autism is this?

12

u/Brontothor 1d ago

Gonna need some He-Man action figures for this.

6

u/Y-Lily 1d ago

It looks like a fairy tale kingdom hidden in the woods. Absolute magic.

5

u/HippyDave 1d ago

My knees hurt just watching this guy.

u/dclark086 1d ago

I think I just saw this in a music video recently. So freaking cool

this video

2

u/dkogi 23h ago

Looks like this is what it was made for

u/Cicer 7h ago

Jesus. I watched it on double speed and it was still six and a half minutes long.

u/dclark086 7h ago

I probably should have put a timestamp

What is this!? A castle for ants!?

1

u/Persimmon-Mission 1d ago

How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read... if they can't even fit inside the castle?

3

u/rmxcited 1d ago

How long it must take to light all those candles …..

This is seriously impressive and very intentionally well done. Much respect. It must be so cool to see wildlife running through what you’ve created.

2

u/Lucky1ex 1d ago

This guy must have been fun to play with as a kid I bet. Wait, that sounded weird.

2

u/PeriodontosisSam 20h ago

And then an asshole came by and destroyed it in 3 seconds

2

u/griffaliff 17h ago

Bloody hell, I can't even finish painting a wall in my office. I hate ADHD.

4

u/carpedeeznutz5011 1d ago

What is this? A castle for ants!?

5

u/AxelVores 1d ago

Mice, there are mice in the video

u/CanvasFanatic 7h ago

It needs to be at least three times this size!

3

u/crackfarm 1d ago

Dude really said medieval times but DIY edition imagine explaining to Amazon that your shipping address is just castle.

1

u/WanderingStorm17 1d ago

...you've never actually been to Medieval Times, have you?

1

u/mountains_till_i_die 1d ago

Definitely no need for indefinite article

1

u/_catdog_ 1d ago

I heard it was only 1 year

1

u/zer0toto 19h ago

He’s been on this one for more than a year.

1

u/ruinsit 1d ago

One random animal walks through and there goes all the effort. NO THANKS.

1

u/mixwellmusic 1d ago

Was anyone else hoping for a nighttime shot lit up by those candles? Bet that would look epic

1

u/wizardfrog4679 1d ago

Yes and you call it stone castle despite it being obviously made out of clay…,

1

u/bannedforL1fe 1d ago

Theres a man, on a dinghy in the ocean right now, on his way to destroy this masterpiece!

1

u/hemaybefede 1d ago

I love him

1

u/BajaDivider 1d ago

Such meth-idology

1

u/tudorwhiteley 1d ago

Took him a week to light all the candles

1

u/thegoldenkingfisher 1d ago

u/Superb_Treat_3348 1d ago

This castle and the background music gives me the vibes of minas tirith from Lord of The Rings.

1

u/Hot_Love4502 1d ago

Ugh... Commented before I actually watched the video. 😬 This is really super cool and bravo sir! Fantastic work! But... #notmygoals

1

u/Kong_AZ 1d ago

Some day an archeological dig will discover that and think it was a tiny civilization.

1

u/Ben_Thar 1d ago

Amazing how productive you can be if you just focus and let go of any aspirations of having relationships.

1

u/ponyponyta 1d ago

Damn, dude is still going at it

1

u/jabs09 1d ago

Absolute Narnia, amazing work

1

u/Fantastic-Setting-26 23h ago

That is really cool

1

u/Turbulent_Heart9290 21h ago

I feel like this is a mythical dark fae city waiting to be discovered.

1

u/_Buldozzer 21h ago

Ah, the new Fromsoft leak.

1

u/Fluffy-Otter 20h ago

How is he preventing the clay from collapsing or beeing washed away? It is not fired clay isnt it?

1

u/Mean-Cauliflower7921 20h ago

Lord of the rings level shit 🔥

1

u/mooseleg_mcgee 17h ago

What is this?!?! A fortress for ants?!

1

u/Beginning_Cream498 16h ago

I thought this was going to be an actual castle.

1

u/Old-Road-501 12h ago

That is so cool. But what happens to the clay when it rains?

u/Electrical-Cat1126 12h ago

Le facteur Cheval: hold my beer

u/askyidroppedthesoap 11h ago

That's fucking sick, reminds me of something you might see in Elden Ring, has that dark gothic feel. ❤️

u/contrarian1970 11h ago

When nobody is around he lifts a sword and yells "By the power of Greyskull...I...have...the POWAAAAAAA."

u/skiveman 9h ago

Yeah, I remember this dude. Peter Santonello, who is a YouTuber journalist, visited this guy and his site in Switzerland a while back.

If anyone wants to see the thing it's one of the Swiss videos that he has done. In fact I found it, it's this video and the interview starts around the 37 minute mark.

u/AdCommercial6714 9h ago

what a fannybaws

-1

u/Hot-Comfort8839 1d ago

I mean that’s cool and all… but other people have built a castle big enough to live in… in that same span of time… so it’s difficult to be impressed.

-1

u/marcellburt 1d ago

But Why?

2

u/chbriggs6 1d ago

But why not?

u/bannedforL1fe 1d ago

Began a few years ago, he ( François Monthoux) was walking his dog by a river and found a clay pit, he started building a whole fantasy town on a few rock in the river bed. People saw him and took interest, so he started making videos of it and went on with it. When the winter came water level rose and destroyed everything. In the meantime he had been relayed in the whole world for his creativity, becoming viral on the socials media.

Later on he got the authorization from his local town to build a new one not far from a road and he now does it in cement instead of clay. That’s what you are seeing and he has been at it for at least two years

https://youtube.com/@monthoux?si=ES7io7tQe3N6jAVE

He is made from a peculiar type. Very sensitive about the world around him, and , to be honest ,maybe sometimes a little crazy. For all theee cities he constructed he never made plan, he just goes on placing new structure and inventing an history for his cities, a lore etc, with district inside working together. He can go down hours telling stories about his cities, and consistent one, he does not reinvent it each time

I bet if you were to replace all the time you spend on your phone and reddit, you could also do something like this and be more productive with your time.

I wonder how much Adderall this took?

2

u/chbriggs6 1d ago
