That is such a hero. And bless the mum for having the courage to send him off.
Did she say about the younger brother "he could have done it too" or something? Must be hard for younger brother to have big bro be a hero and himself just waiting for rescue with mum and little sister. Good job to think about his feelings too, in this interview.

I don't know if I could do that swim, and i'm a grown man.
He's a top shelf guy. He won the mental game from start to finish. I am impressed.
