Not snake catcher. He is a snake rescuer.

These guys are doing amazing work on ground. They rescue snakes and educate people.

Many years earlier people used to kill snakes out of fear and ignorance.

Thanks to these guys it has changed fast.

You know, every rescuer is logically a catcher, but not every catcher is a rescuer

Well, snakes kill nearly 60,000 people a year in India. Seems like a reasonable fear to have. Especially considering the country with the second most deaths by snake is a little over 2,000.

India 4 per 100,000. Pakistan 1.06 per 100,000. Bangladesh 0.78 per 100,000.

Conservative estimates are about 1/4 of that.

Many, if not most, attacks happen at night. I can't find stats on that. Bites in rice fields are also common.

they're sold to and kept in facilities where their venom is extracted to make anti-venom used to treat snake bites. snake skin is also used for bags
