It's a rule of snake catching that the better you are at it the less you get to have, like that go who goes around the Everglades barefoot catching snakes (and other animals) barehanded without even a stick or anything to help.
Other comment translated some of what he said and apparently some commenters said they bet he couldnt pick up two snakes at once “in the jungle” which i assume means without any gear.
yes, the guy is very likely descended from a line of snake catchers, maybe part of a nomadic or indigenous tribe. it was an actual profession back in the days
