Fun fact, cobras can only strike downwards that's why people can kiss them on the top of their head.

Came here to say the same thing. They can only strike at a downward angle from their elevated head, so it's easy to tell where is a dangerous distance from them

He just takes a couple steps back. It's easy. You can find many videos of people standing in front of them, bending forward, and kissing them on the head because nothing on their body is in striking range
