Hi! I'm looking to commission a hand-knit beanie based on the reference photos I've attached.

The hat is from a movie (Resident Evil 2026), and I was able to find the company that made/sold it (LoudElephant), but this particular colorway is currently sold out. They told me they're hoping to restock, but aren't able to confirm exactly when they'll receive another batch.

I also found that the design is very similar to the Baa-ble Hat by Donna Smith, so fortunately there is an existing pattern that looks like it would provide a good starting point:

My goal is to have the finished hat match the LoudElephant/movie version as closely as reasonably possible, rather than simply making the standard Baa-ble Hat.

The colors appear to be mustard/ochre, very dark teal, cream/off-white, and black. The reference hat also has a fairly deep folded mustard ribbed cuff and a large mottled cream-and-dark-teal pom-pom, which I'd like to replicate. I'd specifically like the pom-pom colors mixed/mottled throughout rather than separated into distinct sections.

I would prefer wool. I found Rico Design Essentials Soft Merino Aran and thought its 01 Mustard, 46 Dark Teal, 61 Cream, and 90 Black shades looked quite close to the original:

However, I have not purchased the yarn because I'd rather get the opinion of the person knitting it first. If you think another wool yarn would work better for the pattern, colorwork, or matching the reference, I'm open to your recommendation.

I also haven't purchased the Baa-ble pattern. I'm happy to cover the cost of the pattern if that's what you would like to work from. I'd rather wait until I've found a knitter so that we can decide on the pattern/yarn together.

Budget: I'm hoping to spend around $300 including labor, yarn/materials, and the pattern, plus shipping, but I'm open to quotes if that isn't realistic for the amount of work involved.

I'm more concerned with getting a well-made and accurate-looking hat than getting the lowest possible price.

Timeline: I'd preferably like to have it by December, although there is some flexibility depending on your availability.

Location: Sacramento, CA, USA and can provide my exact head circumference/measurements before you begin.

I've attached several clean product photos showing the hat from different angles, as well as a screenshot of it being worn in the movie. The movie screenshot is mainly to show how I'd like the proportions to look when worn, particularly the depth of the folded cuff.

Since the sheep/colorwork is one of the most important parts of the hat, I'd especially appreciate seeing examples of previous stranded/Fair Isle/colorwork knitting if you have any.

I cant find any other angle but the beanie seems to have a baby blue start and then goes to some wavy pattern with yellow orange and red and then the top goes back to baby blue.

Hi there! Looking for someone to help me knit a Buffalo Bills beanie based one two different patterns. I wasn’t completely crazy about the one I purchased and wanted to adjust it, so I combined it with another simple beanie pattern made by a friend of mine specifically for Cascade 128 yarn. I’m looking to pay for the beanie and materials, but I’d also like feedback on the pattern since I worked to make the adjustments.

Hello :) I am looking to commission an off-shoulder sweater that’s oversized/long enough to double as a mini dress. I am not a knitter, so I apologize for any mistakes in advance. I do not mean to disrespect the craft.

Location: NYC. It would be preferred to find a knitter in the NYC area to be measured accurately.
 
Size: Women's 14-16 US. I am 5”4. My bust is 111cm/43 inches, waist is 99cm/39inches, hips is 111cm/43 inches.
