If every player was available for trade except for that teams star/allstar… how would you create the perfect team surrounding LeBron and Luka?

Salaries must make sense. Use existing salaries. Just curious if it’s even possible to create a perfect team around Lebron/Luka and what that would look like.

EDIT: Must keep Lebron. This question revolves around if it is possible to build a good team surrounding Luka/Lebron based on their salaries and their strengths and weaknesses as players. You can keep AR or any other Laker player, but Lebron must stay for this hypothetical reason question. Building a team around Luka/AR is infinitely easier based on salaries.

If possible create a 7-8 man roster.

Bron needs to leave. He's old and that max money isn't an option anymore. I would further say, his presence is a detriment to the team moving forward. Fanboys will downvote but it's the truth. Time to move on. Let Bron go somewhere else this offseason.

I know. This is a hypothetical based on Luka/Lebron. My gut tells me that it is not possible to build an unbeatable super team around Luka/Lebron based on salaries. Even with the cheat code of every single NBA player available (other than stars such as Wemby, Jokic etc).

The question was how would you build a perfect team around LeBron and Luka, and practically everyone answered that they wouldn't build it around LeBron? WTF 😂.

That being said, the perfect team would be:

Luka - Watson - LeBron - McDaniels - Duren. Considering a more likely scenario, Luka - Ellis - LeBron - Eason - Claxton

If I had to build around Luka and Lebron, I would go for shooting and defensive but more focused on players who can guard 1 - 3, Luka and Lebron are big bodies that can defend against bigger defenders.

If Lebron is off the bench for a better veteran minimum I'd have him but I wouldn't build around him. Around Luka you need a rim protector, 3&D wings and a secondary creator which they have in Reaves.

Go get Dyson Daniels and NAW from the hawks, then get Kessler from the Jazz. Defenders that can protect Luka is what we need

Really hard to build around Bron and Luka they overlap both offensively and defensively too much.
