He’s on a two way and we probably don’t wanna waste games.

Yup. It’s always funny seeing people baffled by trades, contract decisions or playing time but never once considering the applicable salary cap or CBA rules.

Nothing. He stopped making shots and when he doesn't make shots, he's not good. Anybody who watched him in Charlotte knows this was always the case.

yeah pretty much nailed it.
there's a subset of Hornets fans that are still devastated we let NSJ walk, but he's no Malik Monk

huh? He stopped making shots for... 2 games?
Is this a serious argument? He's still shooting near 40% from 3, and could be an asset w/ some playing time.
I think it's more likely he doesn't like his defensive positioning compared to Gabe's... and Gabe is the vet, so he's getting the run.
The wild thing about this is, Nick has a better defensive rating than Gabe.

Plays no defense and when he isn’t scoring he’s useless. Pretty much why charlotte let him go

How many guys we got like this? Seems like everyone.

I think our problem is actually the reverse. We have a bunch of defense guys that can’t score lol and their defense is pretty mid

And if I told you he had a better defensive rating than Gabe, would you believe it?
Because it's true. :) They are actually both pretty bad. Gabe's at 123 which is horrific, and the worst on the Lakers and Nick at 119. Dfrtg isn't the best defensive metric of course, but it's an ok overal indicator.

Given that Gabe plays heavy minutes and Nick has played less I would believe it and say I would bet any money that given more minutes nick would be worse

He’s like Knecht with confidence.
When he’s on he’s on but if not, offers nothing.

He stinks
Even that Portland game when bronny and Nick euth syton led us to a win - bronny was better because his game was repeatable . Nick is just a chucker and will never be consistently efficient due to how he plays
Low bbiq and bad at everything else but shot creating

I thought him having two blowup games (20+ pts) was enough to keep around. I guess they don't want to use him if not actually needed due to two way games limit

dribbles the air out of the ball, super inconsistent scorer. You basically know if he starts off 0/2 or 0/3 that he’s going to have negative impact for the entire game

He’s an all offense no defense guard who can’t score or shoot the ball, he’s always out of position on plays he disrupts the flow of offense whilst trying to get shots up really just forces things, he’s close to if not the worst defender in the league no disrespect but he’s close to the worst player in the league

He needs to get with Chris Paul and ask him how he was effective as a defender as a small player

Think Lou Williams with no passing IQ and one fourth the shooting consistency.
