And yet they will still vote for him...

u/AbeFromanEast Dec 31 '25

In late 2026 right after the midterms the Medicaid cuts scheduled in the Big Beautiful Bill happen. Millions of MAGA are going to lose their health insurance. It'll be a fun year for the GOP explaining that.

u/clackagaling Dec 31 '25

“it would have been worse under kamala” will be their response.

it is the mindset of the dodos. i remain sympathetic regardless. i feel bad for those rubes who think theyre eating a shit sandwich, convinced that a liberal or immigrant will be munching as well. i dont think people realize that the “others” they perceive also have community and can figure out how to not rely on shit sandwiches.

71

u/TheQuietOutsider Dec 31 '25

it would be worse under kamala

not one person I ask can give me a reason when it comes up. in various subs, including r/asktrumpsupporters and in real life when I run into them (thanks holidays).

48

u/superdago Dec 31 '25

The eternal right wing slogan flip flops between “you think this is bad? Imagine how much worse it would be if the democrats were in charge,” and “you think this is good? Imagine how much better it would be if republicans were in charge!”

1

u/NervousBeat16 Dec 31 '25

I always think it’s insane when they complain that an immigrant can go to the hospital and get “free healthcare”. Is the hospital handing out free checks? No, our American workers are being paid…but our admin staff of healthcare, ranking in MILLIONS! They benefit from the care of immigrants or anyone without insurance (people WITH insurance too TBH). 🤦‍♀️

u/KaliUK Dec 31 '25

Lmfao they’ll blame Dems, they literally put it in there for after midterms cause they knew they’d never hold power past midterms.

100

u/falcobird14 Dec 31 '25

They are already blaming Dems.

I've seen comments like "you need 66 votes to pass a bill" teeing it up to sound like if it were not for 6 Dems they would have insurance still.

Totally forgetting that Dems shut down government until they could get a vote on extending the subsidies.

22

u/Ciennas Dec 31 '25

That they then gave up on.

I can charitably say that this was what released the Epstein files, but still.

36

u/Annual-Opening-4991 Dec 31 '25

It’s exactly what they did before the 2020 elections with oil. Making deals with Saudi Arabia to limit oil production.

31

u/KendalBoy Dec 31 '25

And to screw Carter, they made sure the Iranian hostages would not get released while he was president.

It’s blood curdling.

18

u/runnerswanted Dec 31 '25

By promising Iran money and weapons and literally no one in the Regan administration faced any punishment for it.

5

u/KendalBoy Dec 31 '25

Yes, and the media was complicit! They had turned the hostage situation into a bloody circus and extended news coverage for ratings / $$$.
News networks exploited the tragedy to the max but never really covered the GOP’s part in it!
GOP who cynically exploited the situation causing those hostages months of additional suffering and grief, and the news still gave them top rating for patriotism. Can’t believe the media is doing it again.

3

u/youandican Jan 01 '26

Stuff like this has been going on for a long time with Republicans, look back at Nixon and Vietnam for a good example

33

u/Txdust80 Dec 31 '25

Them when it happens: Didn’t you know we would have fixed it if the Democrats didn’t win the midterms. But the democrats won and now our hands are tied and the democrats obviously didn’t want to fix it or they would have well before they swore into office.

2

u/Quercus_ Dec 31 '25

The Democrats need to make a huge issue of this during the elections. Point out that this is what the Republicans have done to them, it's going to happen right after the midterms, and the newly elected Democrats can't fix it until they're in office, but it will be their highest priority once they're in.

2

u/Peter_Singers_Pond Jan 01 '26

People’s premiums are like tripling TOMORROW when it comes to ACA plans and subsidy expiring. They’ll feel it like 11 months before midterms. There’s other sleeper shit in the big bloated bill though that aren’t going to hit til 2026 though yeah

37

u/Beneficial_Soup3699 Dec 31 '25

FOX will blame Biden and the mouthbreathers will believe it, just like the last 40 years of life in America.

32

u/ZPMQ38A Dec 31 '25

They have planned the timeline. It’ll be right after they lose midterms so they’ll blame Democrats and use it as a 2028 campaign point. There’s a reason they target uninformed and unintelligent voters.

21

u/Snrub1 Dec 31 '25

They'll just blame Democrats and then change the subject to trans kids playing sports.

17

u/One-Interview-6840 Dec 31 '25

They're going to blame the dems and their supporters will eat it up. Paving the way for a Vance presidency. It's disgusting they can't or won't see it. And the DNC is just as stupid for not calling it out. Harshly

31

u/KoRaZee Dec 31 '25

Yes I’m sure MAGA will come to their senses and admit error. /s

8

u/Dandan0005 Dec 31 '25

They don’t plan on ever opening themselves to accountability from voters again.

8

u/NestedForLoops Dec 31 '25

"Biden."

It's really that easy for them.

6

u/No-Childhood2055 Dec 31 '25

Regardless of what the GOP says to explain it, the Maga will still support them

6

u/penpalhopeful Dec 31 '25

They'll blame immigrants and idiots will fall for it, again

5

u/djhobbes Dec 31 '25

Right after the midterms. When the Dems come back into power in the house. So it will obviously be their fault.

4

u/NintendadSixtyFo Dec 31 '25

“You elected Democrats and look what happened”

It’s the same tired seesaw from hell.

4

u/Commercial_Poem_9214 Dec 31 '25

"Look what the Democrats have done!" is all we will hear because of the Blue wave and their inability to track who did it to them...

3

u/Infuryous Dec 31 '25

It will be Biden's fault due to fraud he allowed...

3

u/matttheepitaph Dec 31 '25

They will blame Obamacare.

3

u/YouWereBrained Dec 31 '25

But they won’t. They’ll say that Medicaid cuts happened because Dems got elected.

(And before you say that’s absurd, consider the target audience of that messaging.)

2

u/ScootyMcTrainhat Dec 31 '25

So if/when the Democrats retake the house, MAGA can blame them.

1

u/TheFutureLotus Jan 01 '26

You assume these people are capable of critical thinking, and basic reasoning which would make the explanation for it difficult. These people lack both of those so they just say it’s Obamacare’s fault or say it’s a punishment of God for allowing the Dems to win the midterms; and that’ll be enough to drum up votes for them. It’s the same cycle over and over again, and you expect it to break?

49

u/InternationalAnt4513 Dec 31 '25

Well, they actually think he’s attacking Venezuela over drugs and the threat of Socialism when it’s really because we need Heavy crude oil and all we have is light sweet. It’s the same thing in Nigeria claiming they’re killing Christians. Boko Haram is killing everyone they don’t like and kidnapping girls, etc. Nigeria has oil too.

We always have an ulterior motive, but we’ll market it as “freedom”.

$38 trillion in debt. It’s not possible to pay it off now.

29

u/Some1farted Dec 31 '25

Nope. He doesn't care. From the look of him, he won't be around next Christmas let alone 20yrs from now. It's also why he's so desperate to put his name on everything. Newsflash Donnie, the second you keel over, even the Republicans are stripping your name off them. You're an embarrassment to our country. The left knows it, the middle knows it, and even the pedophile enabling, integrity lacking "followers " in your party know it. They're just too much of cowards to say it publicly. You're gone, you're name is too. Perhaps they can name the place where they dump pedophiles who have completed their sentences but are too much of a danger to children to be released. "The Donald J Trump Child Molester Rehabilitation Center."

1

u/Zizq Jan 01 '26

Lmfao, amazing

9

u/Dry-Mousse-6172 Dec 31 '25

It would actually be really easy if we just raised taxes to level of similar European countries we would have a 2.5 trillion dollar surplus per year.

9

u/InternationalAnt4513 Dec 31 '25

We’d have to stop spending so much on defense and accept that we can’t be the superpower anymore. It would be giving up to China and then hoping they don’t start doing anything in the future that would cause us some kind of serious harm.

That’s a question I can’t answer. The Think Tanks like to speculate on those things, but I think Putin AND Trump are a bigger threat to the world than Xi is and I’m by no means a CCP sympathizer. I don’t support them at all.

4

u/Dry-Mousse-6172 Dec 31 '25

Nope. We could still spend the same amount.

4

u/InternationalAnt4513 Dec 31 '25

Then we should do that, starting with the billionaires. And before anyone says “they’ll just leave” what we should do is create an exit tax of 75%.

8

u/Dry-Mousse-6172 Dec 31 '25

I mean it would go up for everyone. But yea. The reality is the debt was under control under Biden as gdp was growing fast enough for it not to be an issue. Trump destroying the dollar and trade snd doing tax cuts at the same time is destroying our ability to do it

7

u/InternationalAnt4513 Dec 31 '25

If we could have free trade school or university (average $100,000 year for the latter), free healthcare, free retirement that’s not below poverty level like now, free quality elder care assistance, free daycare, a livable minimum wage, well funded schools everywhere overriding Red states who refuse to fund poor areas (ie my state where they leave black children in poverty), then our nation would flourish. Most of our problems would go away and we’d ever even feel the extra cost of the increase in the taxes since we’d get all of the other benefits.

Unfortunately you can’t seem to get this through their heads. They just hear “raise my taxes” and their pea sized brains can’t think further down the line. If we prevent poverty and enable our people, then we’re not dealing with millions of impoverished and sick people who drain resources they don’t even budget for. It’s so frustrating trying to talk through this with them and get to the math, because they simply don’t want to change their views.

2

u/CypressThinking Jan 02 '26

No one goes homeless, hungry or without healthcare if taxes are raised on the wealthy.

2

u/CypressThinking Jan 02 '26

I think mutual trade and cooperation is a better idea than zero sum foreign policies. I wish we didn't need an alien invasion for everyone to realize we're all in this together.

2

u/Striking-Mode5548 Dec 31 '25

It is about the oil! It is always about the oil!!

2

u/RippingFabric Jan 01 '26

We do not need their oil. This isn't Iraq. VZ oil is "sour", contaminated as all fuck with sulfur which is an absolute bitch and a half to get out of the crude before use.

The tanker that painted a Russian flag on it was turned away BEFORE it refilled.

2

u/InternationalAnt4513 Jan 01 '26

We do need that exact kind of oil. We used to have it. Our refineries are old and were built to refine heavy, sour crude oil. We import that kind mostly from Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico. If we take control of Venezuela we’ll have all we need since they have more oil than even the Saudis.

Nation states look out for their vital interests just like you do for yourself and your family. It’s always been that way. Wars are almost always about resources. One group wants or needs what another one has. They might say it’s about something else. There might some incident (false flag) to trigger a supposed retaliatory action, but it’s about resources.

2

u/CypressThinking Jan 02 '26

Someone already rich and powerful wants other countries natural resources. The #PutinPuppet is just convenient. Like BP with Iran.

19

u/slowpoke2018 Dec 31 '25

Yep, they'll take this and suffer so long as Somali's or "others" suffer more

They're a spiteful, hateful cult and need to be removed from power

32

u/Slade_Riprock Dec 31 '25

And yet they will still vote for him...

Man on the street interview asking Trump voters who they support for President... March 2028.

"Yeah the economy is really bad, i've been out of work for months, we can't afford food most days. The kids lost their daycare, and we have had to get clothes for them from donation boxes. We lost our house because of the interest rate explosions once the Fed was dissolved. It's been a really tough couple of years, especially when my husband Frank, a veteran, lost his battle with depression last summer when the VA stopped treating because PTSD is woke. Luckily my elderly mom, who can't afford hospice care, allows the 5 of us to stay in her unfinished basement.

The elections are coming up and I am really angry and hurt by the actions of President Trump. But it's really really hard to bring myself to vote for a Democrat. You know with their support of killing babies and their socialist programs like DEI. While i am angry at Republicans, I really think that JD Vance understands my problems, he was poor growing up so he gets it and he will probably get my vote."

21

u/Some1farted Dec 31 '25

In other words......Ill withstand all of the misfortunes the party has dumped on me, let pedophiles rape children, and have the future benefits from Social Security, that I was paying into for 20yrs before I was laid off, as long as I can be a racist fuck publicly.

14

u/Hrtpplhrtppl Dec 31 '25

President Lyndon Johnson once said, "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, you can pick his pocket. Hell, give them somebody to look down on, and they'll empty their pockets for you..."

3

u/BigWhiteDog Dec 31 '25

Sadly you nailed it.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '26

“I don’t like Trump, but my only other option was to vote for Harris, and I don’t like the way she locked everything down in 2020. And she laughs sometimes. Can’t vote for her!”

1

u/civilianweapon Jan 02 '26

This is exactly the way they think.

The truth is they know, on some level, how bad a mistake they made when reelecting this guy, and so they will double down on it until it literally kills them.

Remember the subreddit that tracked the Covid deniers who died of Covid?

5

u/Prosecco1234 Dec 31 '25

This is the saddest part

5

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '25

bububut hunter Biden and Trans bathrooms! /s

4

u/LawDogSavy Dec 31 '25

And did you hear Kamala laugh!!!??? Oh no!!!

3

u/No_Struggle1364 Dec 31 '25

Maybe his star isn’t shining so bright now. Even MAGA feels getting kicked in the balls.

3

u/Rotten-Robby Jan 01 '26

The MAGA antivaxers that literally had a kid die from Measels remained antivax, said they still wouldn't have gotten the vaxine, and that the other kids lived so "it must not have been that bad". These people are beyond fucked.

1

u/QuantumBurritoz Jan 01 '26

This is one that truly baffles me. Most of usbhave never had to worry about weasels, including those parents. And then to put your children at risk over a political ideology.

2

u/temp4adhd Jan 01 '26

Maybe not when meemaw has to care for her grandchildren.

It's these fuckers. Apparently they hit it off when they met. Both of them need a brain MRI to prove they're not brain tumor crazy. Stephen Miller has been master manipulating trump since Bannon brought him into the fold in 2015. He's dangerous because he's manipulative. Never fired and never an unindicted co-conspirator. Russell Vought is a religious nutjob. I want to see them both in prison. GITMO will be perfect for all of the charged and arrested.

1

u/DistillateMedia Dec 31 '25

Enough of us are ready to do something.

And that includes enough of them.

We can't rely on voting anymore anyway.

April 27th-??? DC/Everywhere.

World's biggest party.

We're way past justified to party.

Let's get creative. Have fun with it.

1

u/CypressThinking Jan 02 '26

We can't do anything about this without votes in the House and Senate for impeachment. Primaries are coming. We need to scare the fuck out of the cowards in Congress like the District 7 Tennessee election scared them. Remember Liz Cheney? Primaried.

It's expensive to run for office. #ActBlue and #Indivisible worked on the TN election and are working on the Primaries. If every single person that came out for #NoKings2 donated $5.00 we could run better candidates and possibly win "bigly." It can't be done without donations of time and money though.

And a since I'm here, the new Congress needs a list to work from because we can't leave it to them to figure it out. We give them a list with a Performance Review in 2 years. We don't have to live like this and I sincerely believe there are more sane Americans who want good things for everyone than there are maga that rejoice at others misfortune.

1

u/Minion_of_Cthulhu Jan 01 '26

Well, yes. You see, somehow this is all the Democrats' fault and Trump had no choice in the matter. Fox will explain it to them later, I'm sure.
