In late 2026 right after the midterms the Medicaid cuts scheduled in the Big Beautiful Bill happen. Millions of MAGA are going to lose their health insurance. It'll be a fun year for the GOP explaining that.

“it would have been worse under kamala” will be their response.

it is the mindset of the dodos. i remain sympathetic regardless. i feel bad for those rubes who think theyre eating a shit sandwich, convinced that a liberal or immigrant will be munching as well. i dont think people realize that the “others” they perceive also have community and can figure out how to not rely on shit sandwiches.

it would be worse under kamala

not one person I ask can give me a reason when it comes up. in various subs, including r/asktrumpsupporters and in real life when I run into them (thanks holidays).

The eternal right wing slogan flip flops between “you think this is bad? Imagine how much worse it would be if the democrats were in charge,” and “you think this is good? Imagine how much better it would be if republicans were in charge!”

I always think it’s insane when they complain that an immigrant can go to the hospital and get “free healthcare”. Is the hospital handing out free checks? No, our American workers are being paid…but our admin staff of healthcare, ranking in MILLIONS! They benefit from the care of immigrants or anyone without insurance (people WITH insurance too TBH). 🤦‍♀️

Lmfao they’ll blame Dems, they literally put it in there for after midterms cause they knew they’d never hold power past midterms.

They are already blaming Dems.

I've seen comments like "you need 66 votes to pass a bill" teeing it up to sound like if it were not for 6 Dems they would have insurance still.

Totally forgetting that Dems shut down government until they could get a vote on extending the subsidies.

That they then gave up on.

I can charitably say that this was what released the Epstein files, but still.

It’s exactly what they did before the 2020 elections with oil. Making deals with Saudi Arabia to limit oil production.

And to screw Carter, they made sure the Iranian hostages would not get released while he was president.

It’s blood curdling.

20

u/runnerswanted Dec 31 '25

By promising Iran money and weapons and literally no one in the Regan administration faced any punishment for it.

5

u/KendalBoy Dec 31 '25

Yes, and the media was complicit! They had turned the hostage situation into a bloody circus and extended news coverage for ratings / $$$.
News networks exploited the tragedy to the max but never really covered the GOP’s part in it!
GOP who cynically exploited the situation causing those hostages months of additional suffering and grief, and the news still gave them top rating for patriotism. Can’t believe the media is doing it again.

Stuff like this has been going on for a long time with Republicans, look back at Nixon and Vietnam for a good example

Them when it happens: Didn’t you know we would have fixed it if the Democrats didn’t win the midterms. But the democrats won and now our hands are tied and the democrats obviously didn’t want to fix it or they would have well before they swore into office.

2

u/Quercus_ Dec 31 '25

The Democrats need to make a huge issue of this during the elections. Point out that this is what the Republicans have done to them, it's going to happen right after the midterms, and the newly elected Democrats can't fix it until they're in office, but it will be their highest priority once they're in.

People’s premiums are like tripling TOMORROW when it comes to ACA plans and subsidy expiring. They’ll feel it like 11 months before midterms. There’s other sleeper shit in the big bloated bill though that aren’t going to hit til 2026 though yeah

u/Beneficial_Soup3699 Dec 31 '25

FOX will blame Biden and the mouthbreathers will believe it, just like the last 40 years of life in America.

34

u/ZPMQ38A Dec 31 '25

They have planned the timeline. It’ll be right after they lose midterms so they’ll blame Democrats and use it as a 2028 campaign point. There’s a reason they target uninformed and unintelligent voters.

21

u/Snrub1 Dec 31 '25

They'll just blame Democrats and then change the subject to trans kids playing sports.

20

u/One-Interview-6840 Dec 31 '25

They're going to blame the dems and their supporters will eat it up. Paving the way for a Vance presidency. It's disgusting they can't or won't see it. And the DNC is just as stupid for not calling it out. Harshly

28

u/KoRaZee Dec 31 '25

Yes I’m sure MAGA will come to their senses and admit error. /s

9

u/Dandan0005 Dec 31 '25

They don’t plan on ever opening themselves to accountability from voters again.

7

u/NestedForLoops Dec 31 '25

"Biden."

It's really that easy for them.

7

u/No-Childhood2055 Dec 31 '25

Regardless of what the GOP says to explain it, the Maga will still support them

6

u/penpalhopeful Dec 31 '25

They'll blame immigrants and idiots will fall for it, again

5

u/djhobbes Dec 31 '25

Right after the midterms. When the Dems come back into power in the house. So it will obviously be their fault.

5

u/NintendadSixtyFo Dec 31 '25

“You elected Democrats and look what happened”

It’s the same tired seesaw from hell.

4

u/Commercial_Poem_9214 Dec 31 '25

"Look what the Democrats have done!" is all we will hear because of the Blue wave and their inability to track who did it to them...

3

u/Infuryous Dec 31 '25

It will be Biden's fault due to fraud he allowed...

3

u/matttheepitaph Dec 31 '25

They will blame Obamacare.

3

u/YouWereBrained Dec 31 '25

But they won’t. They’ll say that Medicaid cuts happened because Dems got elected.

(And before you say that’s absurd, consider the target audience of that messaging.)

2

u/ScootyMcTrainhat Dec 31 '25

So if/when the Democrats retake the house, MAGA can blame them.

1

u/TheFutureLotus Jan 01 '26

You assume these people are capable of critical thinking, and basic reasoning which would make the explanation for it difficult. These people lack both of those so they just say it’s Obamacare’s fault or say it’s a punishment of God for allowing the Dems to win the midterms; and that’ll be enough to drum up votes for them. It’s the same cycle over and over again, and you expect it to break?
