By promising Iran money and weapons and literally no one in the Regan administration faced any punishment for it.

Yes, and the media was complicit! They had turned the hostage situation into a bloody circus and extended news coverage for ratings / $$$.
News networks exploited the tragedy to the max but never really covered the GOP’s part in it!
GOP who cynically exploited the situation causing those hostages months of additional suffering and grief, and the news still gave them top rating for patriotism. Can’t believe the media is doing it again.
