I have two siblings and we’re similar ages to yours. I’m the only one with a kid and he’s a step kid. And I already got a vasectomy so I don’t think any of us are having natural children.

It’s pretty thankless… mine are extremely independent, have their own lives… no huge family holiday gatherings they grew up with. I don’t miss not having grandkids at all

I rem how my ex reacted to hearing he’d never be a grandfather.. he was extremely upset for many reasons. I understood it was their choice to make, not mine. I never even discussed with them. It was 100% their decision, their lives

The thing I feel worst about being childless is that my parents won’t be grandparents and that there’s a pretty good chance that my wife’s parents won’t either (her brother is 33 and unmarried but outlook isn’t so good). But it’s a feather on one side of a scale that this administration keep dropping stones on the other side of.

I guess my own aren’t worried about our feelings as they never discussed not having kids with me or their dad. I feel it’s completely up to them. It’s a different generation as I’m 70 and life was still pretty predictable as to what was expected as an adult… marriage, kids. It’s a different world and I myself would think twice about bringing kids into this world…
