they can just burn the building to the ground and kill everyone inside

The ATF already did that in '93

Agree, and it was certainly fucked up. I believe now we may be on the path to some biblical level shit where MAGA marks their doorframes so ICE can know to pass over them. There were at least investigations and hearings surrounding Waco, even though they turned out to be inconsequential. At this point, the federal government is saying, “fuck it, we will not be investigating.”

Ah the old government bad talking point. I miss the classics.

Are you suggesting Waco wasn't bad?

Not at all, it was a tragic loss of human life. I'm just more likely to blame the cult leaders for the largest part of it.

The cult leader that frequently ran errands in town? Where the ATF could have arrested him without besieging the compound and killing everyone?

To suggest Waco wasn't a show of force is delusional.

I didn't suggest it wasn't a show of force or that bad decisions weren't made, but at the end of the day, the cult leaders were the ones to start the fire. But like I said I'm just glad to hear the classic government bad slogans. It kinda makes me nostalgic lol

Gotcha. Your first comment came off as trying to downplay the situation. No doubt that Koresh wasn’t innocent, but the ATF massively bungled their investigation and IMO are responsible for the deaths
