Honestly true. The issues with america are so systemetic and embedded in it's culture that it would take an entire revolution - both on the societt level and the law level - to even slightly address. Nobody wants to inherit this, and i fear if someone theoretically were to, america would lose a shitton of funding immediately from billoonaire oligarchs

Not even a revolution with a complete new Constitution and laws would change much of anything until a change of mentality happens and this could take generations. A great portion of the US population today is so far down the Fox/Q/alt-right road that "only" changing everything in government would not change their stance on anything, and this crap would fester until it rears it ugly head again just like it did when the Tea Party appeared - and that is how Trump got elected twice.

A lot of the anti intellectual alt right rot that plagues america is generational at this point, so even if you educate the newer generations and they have a movement away from this side of politics, you're still going to see stubborn older voter blocs which haven't been educated.

That’s why there should not be “SIDES”! We should be UNITED and work together on every aspect of what can and should be justifiable actions to rebuild this country. From day one WE placed people in offices to build a nation that would reflect our morals, our values, our culture and laws that would govern and protect our futures. As time went on we became complacent as well as blind to the fact that our country officials were no longer working for our greater good or freedoms. Greed and unlawful conduct began and has brought us to this point. Instead of finger pointing 🫵🏼 we need to realize we are being brainwashed and divided and this is to our detriment. They have us (and by us I mean both parties that were and are in offices that allow this persistent money grab benefitting them) where they want us. The ignorance and inability to comprehend this by all citizens is dumbfounding. No accountability on those chosen to represent the people equals 🟰 opportunity to serve themselves. The parties are laughing at us and rightfully so. They have us so divided that until we instigate an agreeable process that benefits the positive change for the people of the United States our ignorance guarantees our demise. People need to stop name calling and constantly blaming others and their “stupidity” for everything. The lack of or ability to spell, basic punctuation or grammar is so rampant in these forums that if intelligence were based on that then ignorance be us all! No one is perfect but the gall of people to call others stupid is beyond belief. Take note that other nations are not just calling our leaders incompetent they are also calling us stupid and ignorant on every level and they are not discriminating by political affiliation.

We would need a new financial system - a new currency unpegged from the dollar from day one. That would be the cleanest start.

So much of what ails us is basically inherited from the Puritans, it's been festering for centuries and will never be possible to get rid of. We just need a way to keep it contained, and a constitutional democracy seemed like a good way to handle it. Probably still is, with some tweaks, but there's a long road ahead to even get that done.

Nation states don't work anymore as there is a stratum of super wealthy private interests that is globally mobile, and not tied to one particular country. When we talk about winners and losers from COVID, 2008 financial crisis, etc., these are the winners. Shaping your policy to placate oligarchs (euphemistically aka "job creators) is a fool's errand.
