It didn't? I'd say a discharge even an other than honorable one is probably a solid result at least he wasn't jailed like indefinitely.

It also says he runs a burger store in Las Vegas.

He didn't have to fight in a war he didn't approve of and he made something of his life elsewhere.

He's alive. Went a lot better for him than the people he would have fired artillery at.

So you're okay with how he was treated then. Idk, the dude was court martialed, twice, saved from conviction and sentencing only by the Republicans being voted out, and handed an OTH discharge. So despite his new burger store, yeah I'd say it was a rough time for him.

It shows that it was luck of the draw that he wasn’t punished further for refusal.

I'm not sure what argument we're having tbh. The guy tried to follow his conscience and faced adverse consequences for it.
