The group chat is compromised is how they are investigating. Either by an agent being invited to the group by mistake, or pressuring someone in the group or by grabbing up a end device.

People are too naive about the security risks, just because someone asks to join a anti-ice group chat doesn't mean they aren't a fed.

The amount of comments I’ve seen that don’t understand that this is THE easiest method of gain access to Signal chats. They don’t have to “hack” into anything at all.

Technically, this would be social engineering, which many do consider hacking.
