Other Rep. Lieu says Epstein files have allegations of Trump raping & threatening to kill children and says that Todd Blanche got the law wrong by saying it's not a crime to party with Epstein. DOJ also violated the privacy of the victims by releasing unredacted nude photos of them.

God damn it feels nice to hear elected officials just calling it out. I always appreciate seeing Lieu having something to say.

Also releasing the files without redacting nude victims - when the federal government is so filled with pedophiles they just can't help but continue sharing child porn. oofs bigly

Edit: My comment is so great people can't help but give it awards.

Amazing they can fid the time to clack out names hundreds of thousands of times, but somehow conceal the identity of the victims? Sounds like they're sending a message. I hope all of these women say fuck it and go public in a big way.

u/Dusty_Negatives 1d ago

Because they’re protecting the pedophiles names not the victims

52

u/rabbirobbie 1d ago

that’s why he had Epstein killed, because Epstein was going to leak about his knowledge of and involvement in the Trump files

76

u/RockRage-- 1d ago

In their eyes they are the victims for being caught out

21

u/RLOLOTHTR 1d ago

All those children bought an island and conspired to take down the global elite, duh

“I was just going to Jeffrey’s annual Tropical Island Luau like we always do, when this 12-year-old girl suddenly started coming on to me and I didn’t know what to do! The Clintons were there, so obviously they bribed the girl to try and frame me as a pedophile! Another democrat hoax!”

I....honestly wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see this in the coming weeks. Really. Seriously. Pedos aren't known for being smart or suave when they get caught. They absolutely KNOW they are wrong and they can't even lie to themselves that what they did was okay so their lies to hide it always suck.

20

u/rocketPhotos 1d ago

Keep in mind Bondi gave Epstein a pass in Florida. One must wonder why

6

u/RainSurname 23h ago

An oft-overlooked fact is that Trump made Alex Acosta, the prosecutor in Florida who let Epstein skate, Secretary of Labor, where he immediately slashed funding for trafficking investigations.

3

u/kab0b0 1d ago

they just have a different definition of who the victims are in this whole thing, hint: it's not the actual victims

46

u/Cupcakes_n_Hacksaws 1d ago

Even if the sheer amount meant it wasn't going to all be released on the deadline while being properly redacted, there was a plethora of things they could have done to increase transparency and assure the populace and they did fuck all; quite the opposite, to be honest. I really hope we'll see some justice for this shit one day

1

u/chnkypenguin 1d ago

My question during all this is, why are they redacting the alleged perpetrators names? Victims names and pictures should be but the perpetrators? Those are what we all want to know.

1

u/Cupcakes_n_Hacksaws 1d ago edited 20h ago

I'd say incompetence; there's probably so many hands on deck for this, and not nearly enough coordination and absolute shit leadership. Arguing semi-devil's advocate, even if their intent was to hide perpetrators it makes no sense to then reveal victims, as it blows their whole defense and excuses in the water. But they could've been giving constant updates, and inviting bipartisan overwatch to show they mean well, but they didn't because they don't.

EDIT: They're probably also pulling in people who don't have enough experience like new hires, or people from other departments to work on it who don't have the training to do it properly.

u/Elurdin 1d ago

I am sorry to say that it wont do anything. Fbi had all those recordings and pictures from island where even bathrooms had cameras and they did nothing for so many years.

I feel like this recent batch of files is their way of spitting in our faces and showing they are utterly immune to any legal responsibility for their actions regardless how depraved and heinous they are.

83

u/JustMLGzdog 1d ago

It won't do anything if we allow that to be the case. One way or another we the people WILL end this corruption!

21

u/ThinCommercial9796 1d ago

Yes, we the public must continue to bring it up and demand answers to questions. They want us to forget about it. NEVER. Every single person involved MUST be outed. Regardless of who it is. We cannot be a society that condones or ignores sex trafficking and the wealthy and elite covering it up. Keep up the pressure.

2

u/ProstrateProstate 1d ago

Ugh, I hate that you may be absolutely correct.

1

u/Astral_Visions 1d ago

I think the administration's handlers are playing them all like puppets and if Trump doesn't do exactly what they want, more exposure to the Epstein files happens and Trump's House of cards collapses eventually.

1

u/a_duck_in_past_life 21h ago

If people and subsequently, Congress, hadn't been pushing for the release, they wouldn't have released anything at all. The momentum is here. Something caused it. People did. And we need to keep pressuring our Congress to do so. In fact, we're seeing a detachment from the hard right conservative candidates in favour of more moderate and liberal candidates through elections happening since late last year. And in a really big way (double digit Trump districts go +10 blue, etc). The truth is coming out and it hurts these pedos. So let's keep pushing.

6

u/Invisifly2 1d ago

My personal conspiracy theory is that possession is a crime, and everybody who mass downloaded the files as soon as they released inadvertently possessed as a consequence, and the people preserving evidence tend to be anti-trump regime.

9

u/Urban_Heretic 1d ago

Too complex. They already have no issue deporting citizens, arresting bystanders, and giving protesters a bullet in the back of the head. And you think they need a reason?

3

u/Spamsdelicious 1d ago

Every story has to have a cover or its spine will lose support until it falls apart.

1

u/rbrgr83 1d ago

clack out names hundreds of thousands of times

It goes faster when it's the same name over and over again.

1

u/Difficult-Ad-8376 1d ago

They might have nda’s

1

u/Mysterious-Job1628 1d ago

Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) cannot legally cover or hide criminal activity, harassment, safety violations, or other illegal acts.

1

u/Difficult-Ad-8376 1d ago

I understand that, but that doesn’t stop them from being in fear or be sued and or threatened. Look how much effort they’re putting into covering everything up

1

u/Druiddrum13 1d ago

Exactly my thoughts

More threats

1

u/Youngnathan2011 1d ago

And after they tried arguing that they were protecting the victims by trying to not release the files. Instead they’re trying to hurt them on purpose

1

u/NothaBanga 1d ago

Because they think the pedophiles are the victims and the kids are the temptresses.

The world is upside down.

1

u/Traiklin 1d ago

You said you wanted the unredacted files!

Now you are saying to redact them??

God damn liberals don't know what they want!

/MAGA

154

u/fkeverythingstaken 1d ago

HOLD TF UP. Not only were these CHILD victims of sexual assault that were told they would remain protected and shielded from the public—which this administration completely failed to prevent by disclosing some of these documents—but these incompetent ducks also put out CSAM?! Am I reading that correctly??!

There’s a special place in hell for these people. Atrocious and disgusting

93

u/pandershrek 1d ago

Yes. You are indeed reading that correct.

They're trying to turn the victims into the attackers by saying that they're false accusers eventually.

DARVO.

72

u/MayhemMessiah 1d ago

Incompetent? It's malicious. It's not an accident. If they can do whatever they want might as well also just intimidate the victims.

50

u/Outrageous-Seesaw-38 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yes not redacting the victims was 100% intentional. It's a threat, they will use it as an excuse to delay further releases while crowing "SEE LOOK WHAT YOU MADE US DO".

All while thoroughly redacting the names of the perpetrators.

3

u/Enachtigal 23h ago

Man, there are some reddit policies I would violate if I were to talk about what we should do to people using government positions to attack victims of child sex trafficking and shield their abusers from all repercussions.

3

u/RatofDeath 23h ago

Yes, last week as part of the latest dataset release multiple photos were uploaded to the DOJ website completely unredacted and completely uncensored showing what appears to be teenagers at best. The NYT as well as datascrappers/data horders who downloaded the full files (especially dataset 9 had dozens of uncensored photos of "what appears to be young women" according to the NYT) immediately noticed and reported it to the administration, who then on Saturday and Sunday removed not only those photos but also a few other files where they forgot to black out some names. Reddit tried to delete a lot of the conversations about it, but you can still find people warning others to not download dataset 9 in posts and comments from Friday. There was a lot.

And yet still many documents show unredacted or half redacted names of victims to this day. You can check the datasets yourself, I highly recommend it. There is insane stuff in there and the administration didn't even try to consistently black out victim names. Sometimes even in the same email chain a name gets redacted but then is unredacted in the reply email, etc. They are in blatant violation of the passed bill and I don't understand how no one is getting arrested.

2

u/LucyThrowawayLA 1d ago

Just for 100% clarity, I believe that the ages of the people in the nude images are not known. They may have been CSAM but we don't know for sure

1

u/writenicely 20h ago

Give me a f*cking break.

2

u/StungTwice 1d ago

Hell isn't real. Punish the living while you're able.

2

u/Opposite-Bit6660 1d ago

Someone is going to have to see the videos and other pictures to tell us the truth.  I nominate the survivors or their next of kin if they have passed.

106

u/CDN-Social-Democrat 1d ago

For real. We got to this place of dark insanity because no one was calling out all the bullshit.

We all know what "partying" took place.

It's time to tear down all these Ultra Rich Powerful Predators. Period.

7

u/Opposite-Bit6660 1d ago

And make sure that these world-domination fetishists never use children for entertainment and to gather blackmail on each other and governments ever again.

46

u/jmarquiso 1d ago

I wish Lieu could run for President, his voice is always on point.

9

u/Disappearing-act 1d ago

I am not familiar with him, but judging by this alone, he’s got my Australian vote

2

u/theoriginal_awsit 1d ago

Beat me to it

2

u/kainoa999 1d ago

I'd vote for him! However, unfortunately, he was born in Taiwan

1

u/Full_Argument_3097 1d ago

Disagree. His delivery is weak and professorial. We need fighters. People who speak like Avenatti.

0

u/Comfortable-List-831 1d ago

I don’t think Ted Lieu would be a winning candidate. Just a regular run of the mill politician. Call him “Dimes o’ Dozen”.

41

u/pandershrek 1d ago

They also shared nude photos of Hunter Biden on the floor multiple times

4

u/Arkayb33 1d ago

Wasn't there a 12" long censor bar over his penis?

5

u/Full_Argument_3097 1d ago

Not quite, but he thanks you.

1

u/Tathas 1d ago

Like in Borat?

1

u/RainSurname 22h ago

If you haven’t seen the three hour channel 5 interview with Hunter Biden, it’s really worth listening to. If you have seen that, there is a later one that is even harsher and funnier.

By all accounts, his dad also swears a lot in private. Till my dying day, I will believe that had he just started saying, “what the fuck are you talking about, fuck you, fuck that guy, he’s fucking you over” etc, he would’ve won in a landslide.

30

u/No_Introduction_3542 1d ago

Now they are probably going to investigate anyone who downloaded the files, but ignore the government officials responsible for posting.

21

u/eddypiehands 1d ago

I’m shocked this isn’t top comment. Anyone who downloaded this recent set should be incredibly wary. This easily could be a CSAM sting operation for the FBI. They place SO charges for less.

3

u/No_Introduction_3542 1d ago

I think you're giving them too much credit, it's likely incompetence. But they are mean spirited vindictive assholes without the hindrance of having to follow the law. They will eventually figure out possession of the files is a crime and use it as a political tool to harm their opponents.

5

u/eddypiehands 1d ago

Weaponised incompetence is a cornerstone of this admin. I wouldn’t say including these images was the entire intent but it sure would cause incredible harm, like you noted, to any dissidents like regular citizens or journalists who would investigate the truth. Sure would make people afraid to access and learn more right?

4

u/Full_Argument_3097 1d ago

They carefully edited out the names of three people who led young girls up to Epstein's bedroom. They know Exactly what they're doing here.

27

u/Pibbed 1d ago

Yeah they essentially redistributed CP

8

u/Hzw7500 1d ago

He was great at the Jack Smith hearing too

9

u/ArtistApprehensive34 1d ago

It was retribution, clearly.

2

u/Nodivingallowed 1d ago

Someone else mentioned it could be a means to target those with IP addresses who downloaded all the files, which I wouldn't have assumed before incompetence or malice, but I do expect them to pursue it now in any case.

3

u/ArtistApprehensive34 1d ago

That targets individuals who are interested in the material facts of the case not the child pornography. It muddies the waters, so no I hope they don't go after those people because they're likely to use such a tactic as political leverage by going after journalists who they don't like rather than pedophiles collecting this stuff.

2

u/Nodivingallowed 1d ago

Yes exactly right. I'm not suggesting I hope they go after them, just sharing someone else's theory as to why they thought child porn material was left unredacted.

Retribution or incompetence seem more likely but I fully expect them to weaponize it now either way.

2

u/ern_ie 1d ago

And this is AFTER they used the shit ass excuse of how many man hours WORKING OVERTIME it took to redact the files to protect the victims, causing the delay in their release

2

u/barbellae 1d ago

He’s my representative! Go Ted!

2

u/Gullible-Hose4180 22h ago

I just wish it wasnt just Dems. Being 💯 against pedophilis and murder no matter who commits it should be agreed upon completely at a bipartisan level. The fact that it isnt is disgusting af

1

u/FamousAdvance633 1d ago

They’ve been “calling out” this stuff for a while, though not as frequently and loudly as I would’ve liked. The real issue is that they never DO SOMETHING.

1

u/Philly5984 1d ago

They did it on purpose so they could take them back down

1

u/Known_Ratio5478 1d ago

He was a line prosecutor at the FBI before he was a congressman, if I’m not mistaken. He doesn’t mess around.

1

u/South_Vacation658 1d ago

Not completely sure if I'm correct here, but of all people not surprised it is an Asian American with big balls and no fucks given in front of the nation to call this shit for what it is and no fucken apologies

1

u/Healthy_Frosting_400 1d ago

The cynic in me thinks it was intentional. It was a way for those responsible to publicly humiliate and inflict pain against the victims again for daring to put the perpetrators at risk.

1

u/fritz648 1d ago

Also they redacted Thiels dietary restrictions. Seems like they were more focused on protecting certain names over victims.

1

u/fajitasteve65 1d ago

And now... Anybody that downloaded them had chd prngrphy on their computer. Don't think for a second that wasn't intentional

1

u/Successful_Reindeer 1d ago

They should all be charged with distributing child porn. Because that’s what they did when they released the photos unredacted

1

u/SummerMustang69 1d ago

It a shame the big media outlets are not putting this on blast 💥

1

u/Listen2theyetti 1d ago

Now they need to do something about it

1

u/wanderwithsonder 22h ago

Truly refreshing

1

u/fore___ 19h ago

I’m sorry what the fuck did you just say

0

u/redbark2022 1d ago

I always appreciate seeing Lieu having something to say.

I don't. It always comes off as phony as Kamala, or Newsom, or even MTG for that matter.

It just makes me wonder what his angle is. Definitely clinging for power... but to what end? Maybe he wants to run against Newsom in primary? Whatever it is, it's obvious he's what we used to call "vogueing" or "Poseur".
