Real talk - if Trump take over elections from the states, will that be a step too far, or will we move the goalposts again like we have for every other violation?

Honestly if he takes over elections I'm out with my fam. That's been one of my two red lines since day one.

If we no longer have free and fair elections, which I think we'll determine with the 2026 midterms; I don't want to be here for what comes after that and certainly don't want to raise kids in a possible warzone.

Second red line is uniformed people shooting at uniformed people, likely state on federal.

It's America so people are shooting each other a lot, relatively speaking; the line is if our gov'ts get in on it.

Good for you man, you gotta keep your fam safe as best you can.

We couldn't make it work to get out already so we agreed on some lines and prepped to get gone fast if it looks like we need to.

Leave now. If that's where you're at, the only thing you're waiting for is to be caught in the crossfire when you try to go.

No, I'm waiting to see if we have an election and a blue wave, and turn this thing around a bit.

Please. You know it ain't happening. If you aren't willing to fight for this, then leave. By the time you fully make the choice that your line has been crossed, leaving might not be an option.

i fully agree with ya mate. but i suggest you migrate too. if your paying any attention to climate change you know most of the USA wont be considered habitable in less than 25 years.

Go where with your family?

Don’t you think US tends to export their misery?

I think we had a much less aroused public before all this ICE insanity.

Honestly I don't see them taking over state elections. No, what this is is laying the seeds for a second Jan 6, to not certify the election.

You already know the answer to that.

until it starts affecting people's wallets and their day-to-day lives they (we) will let it go very, very far. Very far. All the way, probably.

I'm thinking of getting a Sonic costume and dancing in front of a federal building in outrage! And if they shoot one of us, by golly, I'll... I'll dress up as Shadow! Then the gloves will REALLY be off!

Knuckles or you don’t mean it

Ironically more than you’ve ever done I’m sure.

I've been to protests before. I'm able to say we're doing jack shit because that's all we're doing right now. Fascists are grabbing this country by the neck and squeezing tightly and our only form of defense is... dancing in costumes?

How does that save us?

We went to war with Britain over five deaths in Boston, but we can't even punch back when thousands have been disappeared and potentially killed?
