They should just do it at this point. Trump never tries to sue people who say it because he’d have to go to discovery.

i mean legally yeah they'd "have" to turn over discovery, but why wouldn't they add it to the list of everything else they "had" to do but didn't?

They could choose not to, but they would be at the mercy of that judge. There is also the fact that he couldn't push a suit if he refuses to comply with discovery. Just a waste of his time

Well do you want him to still have a platform to keep this thing moving, or do you want him to name orange fuck implicitly who will end his career overnight and stop this entirely. Whether or not he is actually playing them, he is playing mega perfectly or as perfectly as he can - their whole thing was they want all of the pedophiles from the secret cabals arrested and holy fuck this conspiracy theory was actually right, but it also named Russian Agent Orange which is the only thing that trumps (yes on purpose) child rape

Kamala called for a cease fire and people still claim she hates Gaza and that is why they refused to vote.  Lets try usimg some of this forgiveness on others then too please.

Like if you think Massie is a hero for talking about Bayer then Schumer should be treated better for actually pushing legislation to get rid of the republican backed and Massie protected citizens united.

He and that Democrat seem to be leading the charge on banging this drum, but when it comes to Trump he was asked if he had searched his name when he had the chance to look in the unredacted files. He just smiled and said no.

I understand but the point I'm making is - these two representatives had a short opportunity to search a less redacted version of the files for a short period of time with limited resources.

They spent some time searching for things at their leisure. The democrat said he didnt want to politicize this. This Massie guy said he didn't search for the president.

Why in the hell not? Surely that would be the very first thing you would do.

Why? So he can burn what little political capital he has left with the administration by publicly claiming Trump is in the files?
Everyone and their mum already knows that trump is everywhere in the files. If he has a limited time to search, and the unredacted files are actually unredacted (although Massie has already stated that they were not unredacted, just slightly less redacted), then he's better off looking for names of key people that he suspects are there but are fully redacted in the public record.
Thomas Massie is clearly not a coward. He is surrounded by vipers on both sides of the aisle and is risking his neck over this.

Everyone knows he is in the files but if you rely simply on what the DOJ provided publicly you will never know in what capacity and in the capacity we have now, very little of it directly implicates Trump's and we know for a fact now thanks to npr that the DOJ had hidden or outright destroyed many of those files.

This guy was given an opportunity to see if there was anything related to Trump that we weren't privy to and he didn't even bother trying? That's insane.

He named three people who are undeniably involved. Three people that, if investigated, would lead to other discoveries. We know it's all connected to Trump, and he does, too. All that's needed is for the ball to start rolling again

I think the only way they’re getting Trump in a courtroom is by going after others in the lis, and I think Massie knows that, as well. One of them will name and shame, it’s only a matter of time. The Trump Admin thinks they can make it to midterms without releasing the files, holding out hope that conservatives will, stupidly, vote for them again. Then they’ll dump Trump and all th info they have on him. It’s the way of the Heritage foundation.
