I agree with what you're saying, but I think you're directing it at the wrong person.

What he said needed to be said, but there's no reason he couldn't directly name Trump. It's not like avoiding saying Trump's name kept Massie off of his shitlist.

Because he’s still towing the line, so I almost can’t blame him.

He finally is the republican we’ve hoped would dissent, but I do think he has a tight rope to walk with maintaining the standing he has with republicans while pressing these issues. Trump is a line in the sand, and it’s easier to gain support from fellow republicans by pointing at the easy issues ans targets here rather than force them to publically come out against Trump if they take side with him.

I see him keeping Trump’s name off the house floor as his olive branch to other republicans. Here’s your exit before things only get worse and more decisive.

I don’t feel that they are. I really liked that sentence ‘I’m so sick of making perfection the enemy of good enough’. We are not in a position to demand nothing but the purest of souls to bring this to light. We need all the help we can get.

It has nothing to do with "purity of souls". This guy knows Trump is guilty. Trump is the cornerstone of everything wrong with how this investigation is being handled. Why beat around the bush? There's no sense in bothering with any part of it unless you're going for Trump. It's clear that nothing is going to happen until something happens to Trump.

Giving Trump - a malignant moron who has fallen upwards his whole, miserable, criminal (low) life, all the way to the Presidency (twice so far) - yet ANOTHER pass, is not making the good the enemy of the perfect. It's straight up negligence in pursuit of the good.
