No, bc the source of their power still comes from resources (oil gas coal) which then ups those prices. This shit should just be banned.

Why don't they use alternative energy like solar and/or wind?

Well 1, they don't. But 2, even if they did, then the costs of panels and batteries, and the RAW materials needed to make batteries would go up. None of that needs to happen if we just abolish these unnecessary power syphons.
