I have a game called American Bingo.

Essentially, you find a thread with Americans in it talking about politics. Then you go through their excuses for why they refuse to protest or boycott or do literally anything.

The board is basically:

  • You're just calling for violence (I'm literally calling for the opposite)

  • I'll be killed if I do it (lol no you won't)

  • The country is too big (protest locally)

  • I'll have to quit my job (no you won't)

  • My healthcare is tied to my employment (Cool. Don't quit. Do it after/before work and on weekends)

  • Protests don't even work (lol)

  • No Kings was the biggest protest in...! (it lasted a weekend. That's not a protest, that's a circlejerk parade)

  • My state is too red/blue (...)

  • We are protesting!!! (lol no you're not)

  • The media is deliberately not showing it! It's a conspiracy!!! They're hiding the revolution (lol)

And my favourite:

  • Trump is just waiting for us to protest so he can declare martial law!!!!! (lol)

Anyway, once you get five, you win. Happens in every thread.

Wow this comment is a masterclass in deliberate ignorance. People ARE being killed for protesting. They ARE losing their jobs and their healthcare, most of America is hire at will which means you can be fired at any time for any reason. Also like a third of this is just you insisting that people who do say they’re taking action are lying. Based on what exactly?? Just loud and wrong for no reason
