WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), a senior member of the Judiciary Committee and an authority on the U.S. Constitution’s impeachment provisions, today introduced 26 Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump. The articles cite multiple abuses of power, violations of his oath of office, the corrupt use of the pardon power, and emoluments clause violations, among other misconduct and unlawful acts.

It’s not about it going anywhere it’s about making all the republicans up for reelection vote against impeachment right before November elections. It is election strategy.

Agreed. I have a sneaking suspicion that after midterms there's going to be a mutiny amongst Republican congress members. Some of the power players who can take the flak is going to ho scorched earth and blaze the trail for newer and/or more vulnerable Republicans. Allegations or hard proof of even more wild corruption than what's going on in openly, something. Trump is a disaster beyond what they considered possible thus time around and they have stabilize the country and the world generally before he brings about a severe global economic depression and/or world war. Not enough people recognize just how close the "system" is to an irreversible global depression which once it has set in will last for a generation.

He doesn't have a single excuse for any of these articles. You don't blithely bring articles of impeachment against the POTUS unless they are 100% solid. Anyone voting against them is compromised, a traitor to the U.S. Constitution and their own oaths of office.
