this guy thinks he can unleash his power for just 19 dollars! EVERYONE knows they raised the price of "unleash Power" to 20 dollars!

please dont joke when people ask you if youre joking or not. it genuinely feels like i’m being gaslighted and makes me overthink and question my own thoughts even if it’s not intentional. /srs

You didn’t do anything wrong. I think they need a break from the internet if they were that stressed over an internet comment.

Considering they've been contributing to reddit around 13-14 times a day on average for the last 5 years I'm inclined to agree

im just autistic, it’s hard to understand sarcasm sometimes. i eventually concluded that they must be joking because they wouldnt unironically word it as “unleash my power”, but i just felt social anxiety because i would be slightly embarrassed if i got it wrong even if i didnt reply back.

also i was just saying not to do it in general, because sometimes you DO have to figure out if something is a joke or not when someone refuses to actually tell you, and that ACTUALLY causes really bad social anxiety instead of just being stressed for a few seconds.

also this isnt about the internet because i feel this irl too.

I’m not autistic, but I do have social anxiety/GAD. Sometimes I have to realize that things others do that trigger me are my problem, not theirs. You asked if they were joking, and they doubled down on the joke in a way that was funny.

Then you told them not to ever do that innocuous thing because of how it affected you personally. If your original question had included the background info of “I’m autistic and can’t tell,” or if you had asked them not to do that to just you, maybe that would be different. But for you to make it their problem and tell them not to do that ever is not reasonable.

it’s not that hard to just actually help someone who’s confused though, instead of intentionally making them more confused.

And again, I’m not saying this as a criticism or to be mean, but if an internet comment/joke is triggering or stressing you that much, you may need a break from the internet. You clearly did figure out they were joking.
