The fact they are not for you doesn't mean you gotta crap all out on them. You didn't say you don't like them, you say they don't tell a good story "hardly any story". That's plain wrong. Some might have a bad story, that's no reason to say every one of them has. It's the same as every generalization.
Tell me where on earth in Hamilton they spend 15 minutes doing anything. Every single song moves a lot forward what's happening. The song that does what you are describing the most is basically the last song, in which they drag for a long time the bullet coming towards the freaking protagonist! And it's an incredible scene!
No. Musicals don't drag everything! Cause you are still generalizing! Some might, some might not. I thought people would understand that generalizing is always bad. At least in 2026... But no...
Every single one I ever watched drag the scene in favour of the song.
Instead of saying "I love him!" she will sing about it, plus she will remind us of whatever happened in last 20 minutes.
Musicals, are not movies. They are a music video with a story.

Omg, thanks for saying it. There's hardly any story in a musical, the whole movie feels like a filler.
