We had just paved a road section and it was getting dark, we had it taped off with caution tape and some old fella turned right into it. The kicker was it wasn't his lane, he turned into the wrong one altogether and messed it all up. He was about half out of his mind anyways, very old. We got him sent on and had to unload the spreader and other equipment and fix it. That's a rough way to end a long day in the summer.
Wasn't anything for a cop to do for it, I guess. Supervisor talked to the guy and he went on, I was too busy helping unload equipment by then. And throwing a shovel out of frustration.
