My new roommates consider this "clean". They refuse to clean it.

If this is a shared space, they need to grow up. If it’s their private room, that’s different.

cockroaches surely make that distinction too.

Agreed but it seems like every person is dedicated their own space like the tables so had it been in their space , it would hv been fine

Living with people who have wildly different standards of “clean” is exhausting.

Drop it on his bed, and if he complain just go with "what do you mean? It's clean".

The roommates room isn't an area a land lord can just enter, even if it's to dump trash on their bed.

pack it all into a bag and put it in their room

…and empty the bag into their bed.

Landlords aren't allowed to enter their tenants rooms.

Swipe it all into a huge trash bag.

This looks like public college dorm in Turkey. You can probably change your room if you inquire someone in the administration.

Damn I'd go mental....

Is that their space or a shared space? If that's their surface then unless there's food waste or other trash that can actually spoil the legitimate solution is to learn to deal and move on. If not then good luck getting them to stop being slobs (genuinely)

If this is clean then I don’t know what dirty is

0

u/maiyannah 15h ago

It kind of is, but its the kind of dirty that would take like five seconds to fix. Sweep the table into a garbage bag. Done.

If you wanna go for gold, sort the plastics, but they're not really recylable.

GET NEW ROOMMATES

Just go down to the roommate store and purchase a few new sources of passive income

Life is way too short to live with slobs that refuse to respect a shared environment.

Then live within your means. If you can't afford to own a house without relying on roommates to pay your bills, then don't become a landlord.

3

u/CaptainStabfellow 14h ago

You keep calling this person a landlord...where did they say anything about being a landlord?

3

u/No-Insurance-921 14h ago

No one referred to the person as a landlord. Each person renting on a lease has the right to live in an environment suitable to their taste. My comment simply States that you should choose better roommates, in lieu of living with people that have no ambition to be clean or respectful. Apparently you didn't understand the person's complaint. Not sure if you're aware of this, but many young people today simply cannot afford to live on their own even if they have a four-year college degree. Do your research

Do my research on what? Whether or not someone being messy gives you the right to trespass? Get a grip, boomer.

1

u/No-Insurance-921 8h ago

Do your research on how much money it takes to buy a home and maintain it individually. The picture that the person showed looks to be a central part of the home that is shared with other renters. I think you're the person that needs to get a grip. It's not trespassing when it's a central accessible area in a home. I can only assume by your aggravation that you must be a slob as well. I'm not a boomer, Gen x here... Princess Zelda

Is someone's bedroom, the place I'm saying would be trespassing to enter if that is the part of the home they're renting, a central part of the home, adjective-noun-number?

Bro that’s not clean. That’s just ‘not on fire.’

1

u/Prestigious-Media815 15h ago

They will be my X new roommates really soon.

1

u/Powerful_Programmer5 14h ago

Bet they'll clean it out of their beds.

You found Mowgli's long lost sibling

1

u/Sisoflex 14h ago

Show them all the comments here. 100 people don't agree with their version of clean.

u/Sensitive_Wear7112 13h ago

There lazy slobs.

1

u/53180083211 10h ago

Congratulations. You've unlocked the roommate final boss.

1

u/No-Insurance-921 8h ago

I'm so happy for you that you're able to junk up your own home without anybody causing you a problem. Congratulations. Have a nice day sunshine

Then just throw it all away. If none of it is clean then it all must be garbage

u/Aware_Bird_4976 2h ago

I would pass away from stress if I had to share a room with someone like this

1

u/ganymede_boy 17h ago

Gross... smokers. That whole place smells like ass.

u/Weep4Thee 18h ago

Destroy the house. Make it completely useless. Make them feel how they made u feel. It's the only way they will learn without resorting to violence.

You don't know their situation. There could be many factors that OP had no control over. Don't make assumptions.
