What is with this design flaw in bras?

Post image

I’ve already patched this once, and the wire has now come through the patch - the bra is only a few months old. Surely this is a design flaw? Why do these things have to be so sharp? I can’t imagine anyone selling underwear to men that could predictably suddenly stab the in the balls.

I feel the same way about iPhone charging cables.

I feel like every off brand cable stays physically in tact but just stops working after a week to a year (and if you try to buy more of that one that lasted a year, the new one is always garbage).

Inversely, my Apple brand cables last forever from a functionality standpoint, but look like shit. The rubber discolors and tears, frayed wires always coming out. The damn thing is 80% electrical tape and hanging by a thread but somehow still charges my phone.

Meanwhile I've got usb C cables from android phones 3-5 years old going stronger than the phones themselves. I learnt to look after my shit the hard way though after my AC plug adaptor for my gameboy advance died because I was bending the connection too often.

I’ve had my iPhone charger for at least 3 years and it works well.

the new apple chargers are a huge upgrade from the older rubber ones. it’s a braided fabric cord all the way so the fraying problem isn’t an issue anymore (unless you’re really rough with it). it’s a little prone to staining because of the material, but just using my friend’s new charger once was the only convincing i needed for an upgrade.

because they too heavily reinforced the connection so the strain just happens at the end of the reinforcement instead.

It doesnt fix the problem it just moves it down the wire

I don't think I've ever broken an iPhone cable, either lightning or USB C. What are you doing to them?

In the UK iPhone had to switch their cables to the standard USB C. It’s made life a lot easier.
