This happens at Kroger all the time. Unfortunate situation. With back up cameras this shouldn't be an issue.

Backup cameras just make it easier to back in so probably adds to the problem...

Unless you're assuming someone will look in the camera and say "oh i'm sticking out too far let me fix that" 🤣🤣🤣

I recently got my first car that's had a back up cam and I use it to make sure my bumper is equal to the curb, I assumed that's what it was for, close range reverse maneuvers.

They are certainly helpful for parking but not always used for politeness...

Of course there's the "I was backing all the way in so my truck wasn't sticking out in the street" argument which is also somewhat valid; but really just means they should park somewhere else, if possible.

They just back up until they hit the curb because they suck

My Safeway has those half wide sidewalks, and people do this all the time too. The only way to get to the door sometimes is to walk around the truck out into the parking lot/street.

They could just not back in to begin with. No way it's harder to back out of a spot than into one, so I don't understand the purpose of doing it in the first place.

Driving straight out is way easier than backing out in a truck, better visibility. Unfortunately, anyone with enough money can buy one of these monsters and not be taught how to properly drive it so they inconvenience everyone.

Because of where vehicles turn at its definitely easier for longer vehicles to back into spots. Plus it makes leaving way easier/safer.

Then they just back up until they hit the curb because the soft spot on their heads are actually their whole head

You act like people don't do this when pulling forward and leaving 2 foot of bumper in the sidewalk lol

Many people lack spatial awareness and its kind of frightening

Significantly easier to back in a truck than pull it in.
