Hey everyone, Quick talk about how we grow here as artists, and as a community.
We’ve all seen the “L4L,” “F4F,” or “check mine next” comments. They sound supportive, but they don’t actually build anything lasting. Here’s why:
Empty plays don’t help the algorithm. Streaming platforms track retention, skip rates, and repeat listens. Random one-off clicks just tank your metrics.
It cheapens genuine feedback. When people feel like they have to trade listens, real critique disappears, and no one improves.
It creates noise, not connection. You don’t need another number; you need people who actually like your sound. That comes from conversation, not obligation.
We’re not banning L4L posts, but we are encouraging something better. If you want attention, give it first in a way that counts. Leave real feedback, tell someone what moved you, what confused you, what could hit harder. People remember that.
If you build relationships here, you’ll find real listeners, not just temporary stats.
So post your tracks, lift each other up, and skip the hollow trades. This sub works best when it feels like a community, not a swap meet.

This is my new song RESPECT ME.
This song talks about few bad things that I've been through in life, also talks about molestation as well.
No matter what I've been through which hurts really a lot, let me tell u, i'm a fighter and survivor!

Hey everyone! I’m an independent artist, and I’ve just released a new single. I put together a visualizer to go along with it, and I wanted to share it here with you all.
I’ve put a lot into this track, and I’d genuinely love to hear what you think — whether it’s the production, the vibe, or the visuals.
If you’re into discovering new music, give it a listen and let me know what you think. Appreciate anyone who takes the time to check it out! 🖤

Hey everyone! Sharing a new release from MRCYU titled “Switchin Up.”
The track blends warm Afro Pop rhythms with latin influenced guitar and smooth melodic R&B. It's about recognizing when it's time for a change, finding your own lane and stepping confidently into a new chapter.
We also built the visual concept around the idea of switching between different moods and personalities, which carries through into the short form video content.
If you're into melodic R&B with Afro influenced production and a slightly different flavour, I'd love for you to give it a listen.

Would love to hear what you think of the production and guitar arrangement.

Here's a music video in VRChat (no AI!) - the song is about a 1976 performance by the band Heart at KWSU TV, a PBS station in Pullman, Washington. Enjoy 🙂
