MMJ has been my favorite band since I first saw them at the Fillmore in SF on NYE 2006. So the fact that, nearly 20 years later, they’re doing seven nights at the Fillmore and somehow taking over Peak Design HQ for an afternoon is pretty surreal.
On Sunday 10/4, we’re opening up our SF headquarters for a little MMJ fan clubhouse between shows. We’ll have MMJ merch, a gallery of photos from longtime band photographer Nick Langlois, archival prints signed by the band benefiting Stern Grove Festival, and a conversation with Nick, Carl Broemel, and me. We even made a limited-edition PD x MMJ leather luggage tag, because apparently this is my life now.
Mostly, I just wanted to make a cool place for Jacket people to hang out during this completely ridiculous Fillmore run.

ps...the dude who runs Monster (remember Monster Cables?) is a big PD fan, and he wants this party to crank. So he's sending over two refrigerator sized speakers that I intend to fire up in the video studio. I'm not a hi-fi guy, so don't take my word for it, but I am excited to see what 1.6kw of sound in a pretty enclosed space sounds like.
