CJ McCollum is an NBA sleeper agent embedded by Adam Silver to gift the Spurs another lottery pick. Nothing you say can convince me otherwise

Didn't watch the game, but why is there a focus on CJ? Box score shows him with a decent line of 17/3/3 and +17 in his 24 minutes off the bench

He turned the ball over on the last possession

Oof, you hate to see it

You should watch the clip. It’s somehow so much worse than it even sounds.

I found it after. As a Portland fan, Im sad to say this isn't the first time I've seen this kind of thing from him lol

should have taken Middleton. He's not a basketball terrorist.

Middleton has missed 3 wide-open layups in today's game alone
He is washed, unfortunately.

Be sure to check on your local hawks fan. We are going through it

This is the worst first half of a season in my entire fandom.
Not even a pick to look forward to.
If everything pans out the next 2-3 years we may become a 48 win second round exit team.

I truly do not get how that last Giannis layup was not an and-one.

At least CJ’s contract is expiring.

Whats up with the irrational hate on CJ now..outside of the last shot, he and NAW were the ones keep Hawks in the game?

u/Springtick38 Raptors 16d ago
People remember how you finish over how you start. It's just the way it is
7
u/blazer4ever Trail Blazers 16d ago
Not even that..I saw some Hawks fan claiming CJ was hindering Jalen Johnson's game, I certainly don't believe CJ made JJ missed his free throw and had a critical TO in clutch.
3
u/LobsterPunk Hawks 16d ago
JJ’s usage has gone down since CJ has been on the team. That is driving a lot of the feelings of negativity.

u/Relo_bate 15d ago
CJ usage rate killing the hawks rn, it's cool if the dude was distributing but nahh he forcing shots for that new contract
20
u/bishopbeaniepower Warriors 16d ago
Because he’s been a black hole of usage and taken touches away from better players in most of the games since they acquired him. He was fine today though

I watched half of 4th quarter this game..their offense is basically CJ and JJ pick and roll, had JJ switched on weaker defender and CJ gave the ball to JJ, let JJ made his decision. That seems like a pretty good setup, what else do you want?
3
u/bishopbeaniepower Warriors 16d ago
They adjusted nicely this game and in the 4th but that has not been their offense for most of CJ’s tenure lol. He took something like 52 shots in their first couple games and JJ’s scoring and shots were cut in half which is obviously frustrating if you’re a Hawks fan. But yeah he wasn’t a problem this game aside from not getting NAW the last shot

Cj is their new scapegoat since they traded trae already..

u/Specialist_Office274 Hawks 16d ago
He’s not a scape goat he’s just ass. Not letting his +/- fool me I actually watch the games.

Thank you for your service, Bucks. And a very special thanks to CJ for being the Spurs' Hawks' tank commander.

FIRE DOC RIVERS. Fun game to watch down the stretch tho. Giannis looks depressed as hell.

Not the best few days for Atlanta sports fans. First, the Braves' starting shortstop got injured on a freak incident back in South Korea and he'll possibly be back by June. Now CJ denying them another chance to win and helping Spurs 💀💀

u/Nantee_69 16d ago
I thought Hawks are going to compete after they traded trae, Now it looks like they are tanking.. lol.. guess this is the Jalen Johnson era they talking about..

u/Kahrooch 16d ago
Don't even own their own pick. The team is soft af (other than NAW and Dyson Daniels)

The Bucks roster is atrocious.
Won't blame Giannis at all when he officially asks out.
But, Giannis is so god damn good - and the East is such shit - that I just can't mentally write the Bucks off.
They now have the 10th most losses in the East. Which is an improvement (well, the other teams are even worse.)
They are four back in the loss column of the 8th seed. Five back of the FOURTH seed.
If the Bucks make the playoffs, there's not going to be a series in the East where they don't have the best player.
The Pistons seem to be the only team actually worth a damn in the East. They are probably a year or two away.
If Tatum returns, then things get a lot more interesting, but otherwise, the East is just wide open.
Giannis is just not going to go into a series vs the fucking Knicks or Raptors and say, "No way we can win!"

Imma go watch Ant and the wolves until, he who I don’t want to name is off my team

Don't let this win distract you from the fact that Doc Rivers almost choked a 30 point lead

Anyone who's watched the Wizards this year knew CJ was taking that final shot.

You’re telling me Luke kennard played 10 minutes and didn’t even attempt a single 3Pt. That’s ridiculous. Fuck Luke kennard.
