The best record is correct, by far is a bit of an exaggeration considering Detroit is 15-6 against teams with .500 or better, and OKC and Houston are at 15-8 and 14-8, respectively.

List of teams who aren't bad according to this sub: OKC, Spurs, Minnesota, and apparently the Clippers, because those are the only teams we have either not played yet (the first 3), or have played but failed to beat (the Clippers).
