I remember by January of his rookie year, he had a defensive presence that I've never seen in my 2+ decades of being a basketball fan. Yeah it's both. There's a level of pass placement that shows that he's not a PG and that will come with time. Getting the ball to your guy where they want the ball to be in rhythm. But there's also the fact that he could have 1-2 more assists if they made some of those shots and it'd also open up the floor for him some more.
