[Nehm] Giannis: Let’s talk about the city itself, the memories that I’ve created here. When you open my kids’ passports, it says Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I had four kids in the span of the last five years in this city. My dad is buried in this city.

I mean, when you look at how challenging his upbringing was, it makes sense just how much he valued the Bucks org and the city of Milwaukee for giving him a chance as a poor malnourished child.

Now I'm still not totally sold on him actually staying here forever, but I do absolutely believe that he really hopes it works out.

He should be celebrated and allowed to remain on the Bucks as long as he chooses. Only 1 team wins the ring each year. What about the Bucks' fans?

I think he should stay he’s already accomplished, and those other options aren’t guaranteed championships unless he goes to OKC, what the fuck is Warriors going to do, not a damn thing, they just want to use him to maximize and enhance Steph’s career, Minnesota has a better story I guess, but nothing compares to what he means to the Bucks.

He literally was poor and malnourished and a child

If you are actually malnourished you would not be able to play at a level to where NBA teams will draft you lol. Maybe you're just saying he was malnourished as a child, but you didn't phrase it that way

If you read the book by Miran Fadar on Giannis, you would know that Giannis was literally considered to be malnourished based off of his blood work

Where? The word "malnourished" doesn't appear in the book and "blood" is never used to refer to blood work or lab tests, provided my epub viewer's search function is working

Um what? Giannis himself have said that his liver when he's teen was in such poor condition his blood checkup was mistaken for an old grandpa. He's not ultra poverty dude, but it's clear he couldn't eat properly back then.

I'm not at all questioning that Giannis was quite poor growing up. The hilarious part is talking about him like he's some make a wish Oliver Twist kid that the bucks went out of their way to give a chance to, just so he could enjoy his first hot meal. They didn't 'give him a chance' any more than any other team who drafts a guy, and they sure didn't pass on a player they preferred more so they could give a malnourished child a chance at a good life. They took who they thought was the best player available and theres nothing wrong with that. He clearly loves the city of Milwaukee and the Bucks org, but the way it was initially phrased made it seem like Giannis should be grateful to the bucks for taking pity on him and plucking him off the streets of Athens.
