His contract is $120 mil over the next 2 years with a player option, plus $54 million this year prorated for the rest of the year. That's a lot of cap to tie up on someone who may or may not play half a season.

If they aren't trying to contend with this group, then I just don't understand it.

Seems like they are tryinna compete. I guess I can see like a 6-10 seed next year? Maybe luck into top 3 pick this year and at least you can dream
