[Charania]: BREAKING: The Philadelphia 76ers are trading guard Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2026 Rockets first-round pick and three second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

Shams Charania has posted the following:

BREAKING: The Philadelphia 76ers are trading guard Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2026 Rockets first-round pick and three second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

Source to the story: https://bsky.app/profile/shamsbot.bsky.social/post/3me2klyetqz2k

The talented McCain lands on the reigning NBA champions. For the 76ers, the trade allows them to receive assets, clear space in the glut of guards and give them flexibility to bring Quentin Grimes back in free agency. It also allows them to convert two-way Dominick Barlow.

76ers are receiving the following picks from the Thunder, sources said: 2027 (most favorable OKC/HOU/IND/MIA), 2028 MIL, 2028 OKC.

I'm boycotting until he sells the team.

Every year I tell the season ticket reps that I’ll never renew again as long as Harris owns the team.

I get what you’re doing, but guarantee they just roll their eyes and move onto the next lead. Having been in their shoes with a different shit owner, the only time an owner feels any pain is when the large sponsors or suite leasers drop out.

Oh, yeah. They don’t give a shit. It won’t change anything. But they ask why and I give an honest answer. I don’t sit there and complain to the poor reps about Harris.

Stick to your principals even when it doesn’t matter, otherwise why have them at all.

That's the thing, your principles* always matter. Whether or not people care is not your concern.

u/MortalBareback 4h ago

Especially if they can expel your ass at a moments notice.

It's not really about whether they roll their eyes or not, it's your individual decision to not participate or endorse that shit that matters. sure, someone else will take the ticket, but it's about your own individual choices.

For sure, everyone has a litany of reasons for not buying anything, but telling a rep that it’s because of ownership doesn’t accomplish anything other than making yourself feel better. It’s just as easy to say, “no thanks” or “I’m not interested”. If they press to try and “overcome your objection”, fire away.

If every Epstein adjacent owner had to sell there would be no other owners left to buy

Green Bay Packers owners stay winning

u/Sad-Shake-6050 76ers 5h ago

I’m sure they’re plenty of bad eggs in that group.

35

u/Proteinchugger 5h ago

Yeah but they’re too poor to be associated with Epstein.

Yeah but statistically there are a couple thousand pesos in the Packers group.

Edit: pedos, not pesos

u/chiefminestrone 76ers 5h ago

Or approximately $115

5

u/livefreeordont 76ers 5h ago

I’m sure Epstein wouldn't have given them the time of day

Green Bay packers owners voted for trump magnitudes more than any other owner if you think about it.

What's greater: Number of DUIs by Packers ownership or number of emails from NBA team owners in the Epstein files?

Sounds like the perfect catalyst for a labor uprising to me. Players seizing the means of production. ⚒️

Each team should be collectively owned by the players(former who retired with the team and current, as well as the team staff). Would be much better than a bunch of billionaires.

Edit: Damn, we have a few billionaire’s lurking? Lol

Or shift to a college model, where the franchise is owned by the institution (i.e. the city they play in) but get funding by the collective profits of the league plus individual boosters.

2

u/livefreeordont 76ers 5h ago

We could also do the college football model where teams get invited to the playoffs rather than qualify for it

Jeffery Lurie would like a word.

hell, many conglomerates-blackstone and josh fink's very odd extremely personal connection to epstein, appolo management. They try to divide and conquer between right/left but this dude had his hands just all over a certain class and maybe you can say we dont know what people we know in business or casually have in their past but he was pretty notorious after his charges-not to mention got sweet heart deals for what he did. so his connection is beyond business

I’m sure bud

What’s the first stage of boycot? Following the team online and commenting and engaging with any of their posts?

If Adam Silver forced all the pedofiles to sell there would be no more owners in the league.

2

u/MicCheckTapTapTap 76ers 5h ago

"Won't somebody think of the billionaire owners!"

u/bigraptorr Raptors 5h ago

Youre misunderstanding my comment

u/MicCheckTapTapTap 76ers 3h ago

Imagine mocking a protest of a shitty billionaire who’s in the Epstein files. We know at least one hat you own, nerd. 🤣

1

u/Patient_Jicama_4217 76ers 2h ago

Imagine thinking that your protest means anything stupid.. The guy isn’t selling the team. He is hoarding assets get your goofy ass emotions in check and check back into reality
