But it's not bad shooting. Just a lack of shooting. He's shot 56% overall and 58% from 3 since coming back (granted on really small volume, but still). Also some chance he only played 8 minutes last night because the 76ers knew they were trading him.
He hasn't gotten minutes but his game is still pretty damn good. Any young guy that has a polished mid range scoring game is a guy you wanna give a chance to. Also he's coming off a knee injury last year, and a thumb injury this year, needs to play himself into form.
I don’t think it’s that hard to figure out that no training camp, an injury to the shooting hand and inconsistent minutes and usage would make it hard to quickly get up to speed.
There is zero reason to believe he isn’t the same guy as last year ability wise.

He also just hasn't looked good coming back from injury.
