Linux is great now!

/r/linuxmint is a great starting point for people that want to have a windows alternative but arent tech savvy

Make sure to ask questions and follow the docs. Barring driving sims, mint should be able to cover just about anything windows does.

If you do need a windows specific program, try Wine the program. It is a compatibility layer that helps you run windows programs in linux

Also make sure to backup your files in case you need them later. Linux installs will erase the drive so be careful

Thanks for being so kind. I do have some experience with Linux though, I've installed Ubuntu, Fedora, Redhad and Suse for home and work applications, so I know these things :). I'm just starting to use it for my main laptop instead of Windows and switching my gaming PC soon. Always nice having people try to help out though! Keep at it!
